I need to find a way to get one used...I know that's my 2036 mission. It's the only nass I got GAS for...

Yes! Like three years. I tried trading the guy a few times before I just pulled the trigger. It was so buried I forgot it was there. Used Thunderclappers are so rare... I was surprised it was still there. And, it's one of the basses on the Thunderclapper custom build launch page.



The most recent one I saw was a single split coil and that didn't do it for me. Plus, it was like an off-white sanded finish. This thang is HOT.

Still, that aluminum neck with custom body you have is rad. If I could find someone to make a 35" scale four string aluminum neck that I could swap between my Dunables I would jump on it. I asked Hoxley about one and they said I'd have to pay for all the R&D and it would be >$3500. I laughed at them. I doesn't take that much to rewrite a CNC program.

While taking care of the leaves today, I was listening to some Dio-era Sabbath, which reminded me that much of Dehumanizer was in Eb, and that I was looking to add to my repertoire in that tuning, especially since I now have basses dedicated to various tunings. Long story short, I got a good ways into learning "Letters From Earth" today, and after that, will probably learn "I" - a cover of which convinced me to listen to the Dio-era stuff anyway.. Gotta have some Dio-era stuff to compete with my Ozzy-era Sabbath!

Making slow progress in the mental health area (thank you bass-playing!), now to keep it up and maybe add a little more physical health stuff in too.

Bought a spatial delivery 2 weeks ago and a 420 v2 fuzz today. Hoping we can get some sort of weird synth or bass saxophone tones for the new project. My gf will be playing the pedals with her Schecter SB through her GK and I’ll most likely be playing my new L2000 through the mesa with some degree of od.

That's natural, the obsessive mega practices or songwriting sessions sometimes aren't the right therapy depending on the situation. The loss of a pet is the absolute worst, I'm so sorry.

Thank you, it's really hammering my wife, who's horse it was. She spent a ton of time with him, whereas, to me, he was just my giant dog.

Grief is tricky. It hits everyone differently and in random ways. I got unexpectedly shltcanned 3 months ago on my oldest's first day of kindergarten. I felt some strong as$sed grief over that one because I busted my balls for 1.5+ years to be nothing but a footnote on an accountant's ledger.

One month later my dad finally gave up the ghost...he lived on the opposite side of the US so we weren't that close, plus he had basically been on DeathWatch for years. That sucked balls too but I think that when you have time to process or prepare for the end of a person or thing, it seems slightly easier. Still sucks.

Typing this as I lay here grieving my health, flu & cold season has got me knackered this year....
