Yeah, it's a sadly funny thing the way loss hits people. I repress like a boss.Grief is tricky. It hits everyone differently and in random ways. I got unexpectedly shltcanned 3 months ago on my oldest's first day of kindergarten. I felt some strong as$sed grief over that one because I busted my balls for 1.5+ years to be nothing but a footnote on an accountant's ledger.
One month later my dad finally gave up the ghost...he lived on the opposite side of the US so we weren't that close, plus he had basically been on DeathWatch for years. That sucked balls too but I think that when you have time to process or prepare for the end of a person or thing, it seems slightly easier. Still sucks.
Typing this as I lay here grieving my health, flu & cold season has got me knackered this year....
