Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Anyone here try a Pigtonix Aria Disnortion on bass or guitar? I got a trade offer for it and it looks kind of interesting.

I've got one, I love it on guitar, but it gets really squashed sounding on bass. I don't think it's particularly suited for bass, but it's great for overdrive to almost thick fuzz on guitar. I was using it for what I'm getting out of the Wizard Fuzz now on guitar.

Yeah, not looking forward to going to the dentist. Not fear, just inconvenience...spending time and money I don't really want to spend. Oh well, gotta be done at this point.

Well if it makes you feel any better, I just had three moles scrapped off and now have to go back and have the chunks of skin surrounding them surgically removed. Beats melanoma though, righty? But I feel you in the time and money. I have to go to the mainland, so I lose a whole day, and they say not to stain yourself for two weeks, but I can't lose that much time at work, so we'll see how well construction goes with stitches.

On the blister note, I play with Swing 66s, always have, and never had blisters or callouses. However, I also don't seem to have very much feeling left in my finger tips either...

I had an ingrown wisdom tooth surgically removed two years ago. It didn't really hurt and thought it went pretty quick until I was told I was sitting there for almost hour and a half. Then the anesthetic wore off. I wanted to kill everyone and scrape the paint off the walls.

As for blisters, I always pounded the string pretty hard as I had really crappy basses all the way through high school and university. When I resurrected my playing last year after a six years break, I bought a cheapo beginner bass just to find out if I really want to do it again. It had some crap strings that actually cut my fingers to pieces. I still have callusses, but at least I don't bleed all over my fretboard :D

short scales are really odd to me. i can fly on a 30 inch but i feel like i'm playing guitar. plus they dont do well with lower tunings.

Agreed that the length takes a little getting used to. After a couple hours' worth of rehearsal I felt okay about gigging, though. I don't have to worry about low tunings because I don't go below E in MDT.

Man I wanna get this but no reason to...

Flipping tempted (word play) so I hit him up. Someone offered $200, if they no show it's mine so I'll offer $175 muhaha

Also had to do an anonymous peer evaluation for a class team, and randomly wrote in one guy had a "rapey gaze" for giggles, and he can't figure out who did it.

Been away a few days. Things got stupid with work so I put in my resignation this afternoon.
I really hate trying to make things sound professional and still voice my grievances. It all comes out vague and softcore.
I prefer my communicate to include graphic penetration.
Its just a dispute with middle management that isn't(completely)upper management's problem.
