Damn I hate how it saves whatever you write. I was going to tell my brutal dental experience and thought man that may be too brutal and it mixed with my review of the MXR Bass Octave, argh.
Anyway, DeathsDJ I super dig the MXR Bass Octave, does gritty or clean octave, not as good tracking as the Octron but has better tone to me anyway. Gets loose from the G down on the E string. Can't go wrong with the MXR Bass Octave.
Oh and JMac said the Joyo Compressor is pretty sweet on bass, nice and subtle, not too squishy, and dirt cheap too boot.

Dually is officially gone and I've got an Ampeg Heritage 8x10 on it's way to me now.

After a bunch of research the H810e supposedly sounds very similar to the OG flat-back 8x10's of the 70's but with way higher power handling, plus better overall construction and speakers than the normal ampeg 8x10's. My old NV610 which I loved was also supposed to cop the tone of those flat-back cabs. So instead of picking up another NV610 I went for the full 8x10 this time. Pretty excited to get it, going to swap the grill either on the 66 or the 8x10 so they match. I know where to get the black and tan grill cloth, but finding matching heritage grill cloth may be tricky. Another plus is the 8x10 is 48" tall just like the 66 so I've got rig symmetry back, which is always a good thing.

I have had tons of root canals and caps over the years, but the worse was having my upper gum shaved. Doc kind of said oh no big deal I do this all the time I guess not to scare me. Doesn't put me under just numbs me all up and down. Pulls out a scalpel and uses my jaw as a guide for leverage and just slices my upper gum open on the left side. I felt like I was in Hostel except I couldn't feel the pain. Then pulls out the bone breaker, it's like tin snips for bone and he is snapping parts of my upper jaw off which shakes my head around pretty good while pieces of bone are falling on my tongue. All I could think about was that scalpel cut though the whole time. So he finishes up and sews me up. So I was like ok I survived, then he says ok time to do the other side! So afterword he says don't be thinking about it you will pass out just think good thoughts so I can let you drive yourself home. He said you are a brave dude never had a patient so chill as you for that procedure. So a month or so later I go in for the check up and he says oh man you healed great but yeah I need to do the front now see you in two weeks for that!!! I had two black eyes and head was all swollen for weeks but the worse part was the scalpel slices and the bone breaker, snip snip snip.

There are some grill clothes at mojotone not sure it is the type you need though.

Fliptops.net apparently used to have the heritage grill cloth, but it's not up there anymore.

Mojotone is where the grill cloth on the 66 came from, so if I go that route it's easy enough to get the matching stuff to redo the 8x10.

I'll decide which I like better once I get the 8x10 in, I'm thinking I may stick with the black/tan as I've always been a fan of that look, but I didn't want to rule out the heritage until I got to see it in person.
