Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Worked on a new song with the band last night. It's in the "trying out ideas" stage so it's still mostly noise. It'll probably take about a month or so to whittle it down to a proper tune. I'm trying out some C stnd which I haven't done in a while; that SS MIJ Epi seemed to do pretty well with the lower tuning.

Finally starting to feel a little better after 10 days or so of tooth pain and the related headaches. Antibiotics must be starting to work on the infection, pain pills are finally starting to work. Now to un-bury myself from the pile of work that's built up.

+1 to the Rat suggestion - also for a gnarly fuzz you could track down a Boss FZ2.

FZ-2s are fun.

Cleaning house all yesterday and this morning. Mom, aunt and 13 y/o girl cousin dropping by so I got to undoom the place with Lysol and incense. Overall the house is getting awesome. Just need to throw up my wall arts.

My actual bedroom is a mess of crap... Thankfully the electricians put in a new outlet, now I have my PC desk in there. So I can fit like my bass stack, a guitar rig and a drum set and still have room for the bed and all my tech stuff once I get some selves or drawers so it's not in boxes all stacked up in the center of the room. I can play, repair, record or sleep with all the gear in one room.

Then what else is there to do in the rest of the house? lol

jam the truck fighters and eat lol.

A few nicer shots of Corey's amp. Electrically up and running. A bit cold biased still, will adjust soon. Sounding as I expected. Very similar to Ron's Ampeg preamp channel but a bit more gain available (not a lot overall but Ron's was very very clean). Different mid range EQ points but they sound very nice on bass and guitar. Good Master sweep, does not go up too fast.

Looking clean and classy as usual! You can tell it's huge because the 1/4" jacks look freakin' tiny. I love it.

Sexy wiring as always Nick. Dunwich coffee table book still needs to happen. Had a friend over to jam the other day, he's the one other mega uber gear head that I hang with, I let him open up my dunwich preamp to drool at the guts, and he almost did drool on the guts.

Is the "Slave In" for use of another preamp, making this one just a power amp?
