Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

I despise fish and seafood in general. Can't stand the smell, taste or texture of it. Its gross and I DUN WANNIT!
Yet, strangely enough, I can totally do canned tuna...but only flavoured canned tuna. I can easily smash a whole case of Tomato & Basil and Indian Curry flavoured canned tuna on the daily.
My religion prohibits me from being vegetarian. As one of the Supreme Beings it is my responsibility to devour lesser creatures.
For band camp use I guess. Its written for the most part now anyway. Has anyone done long distance craigslist buys with shipping involved?? I'm getting cold feet.
Maybe in this genre that's so, but there's a huge singer songwriter scene in Austin and the surrounding area and people really seem to dig knowing just who these people are and how they came to be.
It's all marketing and getting as much hype and interest squeezed out as you can.
If you just said "this band started as four dudes who wanted to get stoned and play sabbath covers while the wives went to pottery barn" it's not very exciting.
I think if your story is interesting or truly has a spin to it (might not even realize you have one) it's worth it. But if you can't make an interesting story out of it just explain where and when the band started, and how to contact you.
Reminds me Last night I saw a YouTube vid of Down live in Austin earlier this year and Phil Anselmo spent nearly 5 minutes just rambling about what seemed like nothing before music even started. That was boring poopie. Also that dude gained a ton of weight.

Yeah when I sold my Demeter vtbp 201s. He kept asking so many questions and handed me just enough information to call his music store and ask for him by name. Was sightly taken back I was able to figure out how to call him but set him at ease and transaction went well. Didn't loose a dime on that unit if I remember correctly.
What kind of rig did you use around your Demeter? I have a an old VTBP 201 I paid penis $20 for a couple months ago, can't decide if I should flip it or not.

The 201 and 201s are different animals. The S was a great clean pre amp. Was not built to be dirty.

My animal didn't seem that dirty.
The reverends son said "HAHA isnt it funny when people sell stuff and don't know what it's worth?!" And I just said mhmm and paid the dude, then he gave me a sack of cucumbers. Literally, that's not dirty, though they did rot before I could put them in someone's truck bed... My idea to confuse the hell out if someone when they found like 50 of them.
I grew up in Ny on deli, grandmas garden, deer, and seafood. Add to that my dad being a chef... I'm a fresh food snob. Even when I've been super broke I'd do stuff like throw a bunch of fresh veggies in some ramen. Veggies are cheap. Now, the misses is kind of vegetarian. Seafood is the compromise. Who can turn down pan seared scallops? Lots of fresh veggies though. Cutting out 90% of pork, beef, and chicken has also saved us ALOT of money too. Plus were losing weight.
Yeah I don't think Demeter had the heavy music crowd in mind with these preamps.
