Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Well the bassic guy didn't have the balls to say another word to me after denying our deal.

So I went to his classified and outlined what's up and now the ads gone so who knows.

Well, since you feel the need to air this out, how about I get the chance to give my side?
We set a price and a location to meet, which was 70 miles north of where I live. You also requested for me to find a location where you could test the cabinet out. I didn't think that would be too demanding, but after calling around, I couldn't fulfill that request...and I damn sure am not going to hook that thing up at the VA office for you.
So I messaged you and told you I could not do the deal and why, yes? And then what did you do? You blew up my phone with 7 rapid-fire text messages, lecturing me about contract law. I didn't even have a chance to respond.
Here's what you're missing in all of this - there is NO CONSIDERATION. No action has been taken that requires me to drive to Waco and hand this cab over to you. This is not an "on-demand" contract. This is not a service contract. There is no contract.

You jumped to a whole bunch of conclusions about me selling it to someone else, or I don't have any balls, or that I denied the deal. I couldn't meet your request, and what was the term I used when declining? I believe it was respectfully. Meanwhile, you've shown me none. I took the ad down because if selling that cab means having to deal with you, then no thanks. That's the reason right there.

Here's what I want you to do: 1. let it go or 2. come on down to Bell county, slap $247 on the table and let's let the judge decide.

So I read some random blog post a while back along the lines of "movies which once have been seen cannot be unseen." I'd seen all the flicks except two: "American Mary" - which you can stream on Netflix, and "Cheap Thrills" which I had to order the DVD for. We watched American Mary in the rehearsal room and the guys still talk about it. I finally watched Cheap Thrills last night. Wow. The less you know about it the better.
So you didn't like Cheap Thrills? I've had it downloaded for awhile but the wife won't watch it with me, so I haven't seen it yet.

I try not to buy anything direct from China. I've known too many people burned doing that.
Having said that I've read here allot about it going well. Probably just need to find a good seller. Start small and cheap?

Yeah thinking of ordering a bridge and string tree from a selling in china. Nothing big for sure but it's a good deal. Probably play it safe and just not.

askrere that guy sounds not insane, so you better have a good explanation! haha
I think he's just used to dealing with CraigsList flakes and came on too strong.
Either that or it could be from eating sour cream on fries.

You could do like Laz(i think it was him)and buy it through PayPal and use a credit card. That way you've got purchase protection from both.

Yeah, did this with that first Dually turd cabinet I got from Hoinsky. While PayPal makes you go through some hoops and what not, my CC did not shag around. Ship back the item, send us the tracking number, we'll refund you instantly and take care of the other guy ourselves.

Yeah that's what I thought I remembered.
And you only needed coverage for some dude in New England.
I'm sure a couple of bucks to some guy in China would be covered as well.
