Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Mayo+ketchup +/- relish = every secret sauce ever made across the fast food world, also known as thousand island dressing I'm pretty sure.

A hamburger at 80/20 is awesome as is. But I'll mix In feta, Mediterranean spices and purple onions. Then hummus, Greek yogurt, cucumbers tomatoes and onions on the bun.

Or mix in jalapeños and cheese and onions and Mexican spices and put Avacado, refried beans, lettuce tomato onion and tortilla chips on it. Fried egg if there's room or time to.

Gathering information needed to decide if I farm out a motor rebuild on my Subaru or do it myself. Head gasket(s) are leaking allowing exhaust gas into the coolant.
Evaluation will be a balance of two precious commodities. Time and Money.
Happened on my Grand Am but it was just leaking anti-freeze at a very slow rate. So instead of paying the $800 to get it fixed I would just put in more anti-freeze once in awhile, and didn't tell the dealer when I traded it in :P

Random question. Anyway know the cheapest price for car rentals. Road tripping from VA to Florida this November and haven't rented a car in ages. Just want a small car or hybrid that is good on gas.

Rented a Dodge Avenger from Enterprise for my Peavey trip in April. Picked it up on a saturday, returned it the following friday, drove a little over 2000 miles - $157.00.

This is the bridge I'm talking about for the black p bass. Also I don't know of I should get this or my usual vintage treaded style bridge.

I got a couple brand new spare bridges. One high mass and then more traditional stuff. I bought some extra for the parts builds.
This one is the high mass one I got.

When I worked in kitchens, if someone ordered a well done steak, we gave it grill marks then microwaved it.

In my house, all steaks are wedium rare. They get salt, pepper, clarified garlic butter, and a rest.

Burgers I'll take a small sirloin steak and a chuck roast, some times I'll throw in bacon too, and run them through the kitchen aid mixers meat grinder. Mix that with an onion, jalapeño(seeded), and garlic cloves that I ran thru the food processor. Salt, pepper, mix, form, done. Cooked medium.

Some guys I work with do an egg and bread crumbs. I'm not a fan.

I would totally read that essay.

If I find it so would I lol.

He created the Panic Movement so I based my essay knowing that from the description of said movement.

"The movement's violent theatrical events were designed to be shocking, and to release destructive energies in search of peace and beauty."

Examples being- The "happening" starred Jodorowsky dressed in motorcyclist leather and featured him slitting the throats of two geese, taping two snakes to his chest and having himself stripped and whipped. Other scenes included "naked women covered in honey, a crucified chicken, the staged murder of a rabbi, a giant vagina, the throwing of live turtles into the audience, and canned apricots."

So I basically said the fact we can make sense of anything beyond the basic story in the movie is because he's determined to shock us, and to shock us he must at times use familiar imagery and actions known to be shocking.

My favorite part of the whole movie is the symbiotic amputees and their master.

Ouch. I can see why then o_O

All I can recommend is finding a good Subaru forum with great photo tutorials... hope whatever you choose works out smoothly!
Been a member for a while on LegacyGT forum. I've done a fair amount of work to the car myself, turbo replacement and other supporting maintenance. If I choose to do this will be my first car motor pull and rebuild. Not saying I can't do it but makes me nervous.

I've decided this car is a keeper. Least for the next several years. So I'm fixing what I find wrong ASAP so they don't lead to other issues.

That analysis makes more sense than the movie, haha. I didn't realize there was such a thing as a panic movement, but it would certainly explain this guy. Then again, maybe he just wanted to tape some snakes onto his chest?

Yea the movie makes little sense, beyond the guy being kind of self obsessed until he gets betrayed and learns to care about others via the cave freaks. My burned copy is English dubbed with subtitles that are hilariously close but no cigar to the actual dialogue.

I can't imagine the panic movement going over well today. Can you imagine a dude killing little animals in the street as art in like Portland lol.
