Just got back from our show with Ion and Sea of Bones.

If you ever get the chance to see either of those bands, do so.

For some reason we played after Sea of Bones. Intimidating, but we still rocked out and played a good set.

One of the best bands in the genre, IMO. Everything they did is killer.

I had practice the weekend with a new line up for a LOUD originals band. Once again I am playing with a drummer that has the capability of beating his kit like an assault charge right before the cops show up. He was playing behind a plexi shield, and was still loud enough that I was seeing the clip light on my Mark VIII flash (~500 watts) through my Dually. Felt good to be working on originals again.

Drummer in my new project is an anomaly.

He has a studio with PA and recording gear, a degree in music performance, reliable car, not just one full kit but four, decent job outside of playing music, no other commitments that eat up his availability, and some how he has no substance abuse problems.

Met up with drummer and guitarist for potential heavy weezer/stoner pop band over the weekend.

This is the first time the drummer joined in with a potential guitarist.

Went super well, we're all good friends, guitarist was on the same page as us, wrote a song, went pretty well. Reminiscent of faster Torche stuff meets Dinosaur Jr.

Hopefully we all meet up again, and continue working on it as I think it would be a lot of fun.
