Thanks, my original plan was to build up a parts bass, over time. But while looking around I found the Aria with the exact 2 tone sunburst I wanted for said parts build. Thought about it for a few days, and it was just too good to pass up.

Hopefully it plays nice once it does get here.

I too have a money problem. Only my problem is just with Peavey. Theirs like 2 more amps and and another cab I have my eye on and if they drop below a certain price I'm buying them.


Also on topic of Porsches. They screwed themselves with the 911 as their flagship. Put the motor of the best 911 into a cayman, you got yourself the best Porsche ever, but they'll never do it because nothing can be allowed to top the 911.

Those older Japanese basses are pretty killer anyway, so if you can find something with the right finish, board and feel to it, pickups and guards are easy to swap out. I've been wanting to build mine for over a year, but my first test pine body is still sitting out in the shop, half stripped. I haven't had the time to try to learn how to fix the botched paint job or the spare funds to pay someone else to do it lol.

He shouldn't be taking it to his father if he's providing such horrid advice. Just... augh. I need to close that thread and never return. I don't know how it was misconstrued that either Askrere or hover was a troll :rollno:

That is what the sales guy told my dad and I when he bought it (The conglomerate that I work for owns the dealership. So I got him a discount).


Per that asshat with the SVT he is trying to fry:

I didnt realize these guys were local to me... Who around here needs iron?

Can't seem to find pricing. But I'm always looking for affordable iron for a future tube amp build.
