I'd cast Paul Giammati as Hooper, I can't think of anyone that jumps out at me for the Brody role, but.......
Christopher Walken as Quint would be epic.

Priceless. I was driving on a causeway in Florida and someone hit a bald eagle. It felt guilty by association, like get me out of here now I want absolutely nothing to do with this incident even though I wasn't involved LOL.
The past 3 Swans albums or so, since they reunited have all been f*cking excellent.

Swans are my favourite band!! (And THE BODY). I saw their recent tour. I went to see them twice in the last tour for the seer. I saw them in 2010. Also in 96 or 97.
I contributed financially to To be Kind. I am in the credits!
Hmmm.....just a thought. since we're mentioning Swans, would they do an acceptable job re-doing the epic "Jaws" theme song for "JawFoot"?

Why are there no purple DR strings?
Trying to imagine this Bigfoot movie. Would it be like a Friday the 13th movie with Jason being a Bigfoot? Just some nonstop killer? Maybe they capture it like in jaws 3, and the Squanch goes all apepoopie in the laboratory...?
Like, they shouldn't have brought it back. They should have left it in the woods.

So if tone is in the fingers, when are we going to see slip over finger covers proportioned to Jaco's actual hand? I can't believe this doesn't already exist.
I'd prefer to see it as more of a tension filled movie like Jaws was, where the waiting was the worst part. Kind of a glimpse here, a ripped off arm there.
I'm sure there's some viable DNA material left in his coffin....just sayin' that a clone of his hands might be a good seller.

I can't get into anything past the Bon Scott era with AC/DC. And even then, I wouldn't go out and buy it. It gets boring after a few songs. For me, that is.
Yeah. I really hate modern horror films, generally.
Mostly because they're more concerned with being horror films than with being good films. I'd rather watch a movie that I wasn't sure really classified as horror, but was a damn fine movie, than one that was obviously horror but predictable schlock.
And nobody does suspense, or even really intelligent plotlines in horror anymore, it seems. It's all just gimmicky jump-out and gross-out stuff. Also, speaking of which, people seem to have this idea that something being gross is the same as it being scary. It's not. Gross is just gross.
I guess I never developed enough fondness for horror movies to put up with the various flaws so many of them have (not that horror movies are the only ones with flaws... just... they tend to have a lot of them, even in comparison with other movies). Especially the fact that so often, the characters in horror movies seem to exist in a universe where nobody has ever seen a horror movie, because they go and do stupid things that nobody who's ever seen one would do.
I also really hate movies that do such a bad job with character-building that audiences can't connect to the characters at all and end up giving into the worst aspects of themselves and rooting against the characters, reducing the movie, often-times, to glorified gore-porn. shag that poopie. That's disgusting. If you are a film-maker and people end up cheering when horrible things happen to your characters, you are a shaging failure.
I much prefer movies like Jaws or the old version of The Wicker Man. Stuff that's somewhat hard to classify according to genre because it's plot driven and more concerned with being interesting than cartoonishly scary. Jaws in particular is great because the shark becomes this almost mythical thing, an inhuman force of nature. Even though the protagonist in The Wicker Man is an arrogant, self-righteous douche, I can still connect with him and sympathize a bit, moreso at least than the cardboard excuses for characters lots of modern horror flicks have.
Alien and Aliens were also shaging great, even if the characters who weren't Ripley often did stupid poopie.
Speaking of which, one movie I liked recently was Prometheus. It wasn't perfect, but it had a more old-school style of pace and plotting, I feel. Seemed like they prioritized making a good plot before making it scary.
Also, tonight is our last show with our current drummer, unfortunately. He's leaving due to not having the time or money for two active bands. Pretty bummed out about it. Will be our last show until we audition new drummers and get whoever we pick up to speed, so probably a month or so out.
