Just had a nice catch-up email with my old drummer. He's a good dude, kind of bummed he's looking to move out of state, but i can't say that i blame him.

I tend to go the opposite direction... rounds on a passive.So... flats on an active bass - who's done it? What did you think?
Ric pickup placement = best pickup placement.Univox hi flyer is pretty cool, I really dig the pickup placement. I'll need to directly compare it a lot with my other basses and see what's right. It would be an awesome fast playing stereo option with more ric like placement.
It's pickups are pretty hot, and I like the fact it came setup and has chromes, but I'm curious how rounds would fare on it.
I had to use the limiter on the mb500 which might sell today as a guy emailed last night saying he had cash and lived right down the street.
Damn straight. How that question damn well should be answered. The Invalid Link Removed doesnt do her Invalid Link Removed But I wanted to rep the MB shirt.
Link Removed. More than once I have been asked, "What is your dad?" to which I always reply "Human".
600 watt? Holy poopie, if tube.Anyone hear anything about the 600 watt hovercraft amp used at hover fest? I've only seen one or two pics of it. Was it all tube?
I find myself completely apathetic about football this year. This is normally not the case. I just can't find it in myself to give a poopie.Jeez. Football hasn't even started yet and I'm already for it to be over.
It's all these dudes in the office talk about.
"Let us regurgitate information we got off ESPN and argue about it."
"Lets!"
She doesn't listen to any music... and she married a guitarist.... watAt least I know how my guitarists wife feels when I go over to their place. Beers, gear, writing songs, and cars. She's like can we talk about something else. haha. She likes UT anything sports and doesn't really listen to any music at all. So she's screwed there.
I usually try to remember this when I go over there.
Probably almost never unless something happens to them. If they're not microphonic, there's no reason to get rid of them.I love sports. SPORTS.
Question, how often do you need to change the preamp tubes in a hybrid amp like my Terror Bass? How do you know when they're going "bad"? Will they go microphonic and make that same high frequency noise like in a full tube amp? Is it good practice to change them once in awhile?
I'm not having any issues and think mine sounds great, but this crossed my mind the other day. I know there are JJs in there right now, which is probably what I'd buy if I needed new tubes anyways, so I'll probably leave it as is for now. Just curious if I should be keeping an eye on them. I've had the amp for probably over a year now, but who knows how long the tubes were in there before as I bought it used via GC.
Good to know, thanks.honestly the only ones worth getting on are Stonerrobixxx, Obelisk, Sludgelord, Ride With the Devil and Stonerhive. and even then of those 5 Stonerrobixxx by far has the widest reach. Unfortunately they haven't posted our latest album and it really hurt our sales. Back when we released Bennington nearly 70% of the traffic and sales came from Stonerrobixxx.
Some others you can try, but we have had virtually no benefit from, at least based on bandcamp stats are:

All goodness including Chicago late summer. Report back on all for those that can't get to Kumas, place just sounds awesome!Leaving tomorrow at noon to go to Chicago, looking to be in town around 5 then it's kumas corner then to the Chicago bass exchange! Can't wait to see what kind of gems they have there. About to crash at a hotel outside of town then wake up and go exploring for a little bit before SLEEP! I so excite.
Just got back from Sleep. While it was great to finally see them, they definitely seem like not a band anymore. Don't get me wrong there were some great moments but there were a bunch of near train wrecks.
Damn that sucks, when I saw them at Maryland death fest they were amazing
By no means bad, but a lot of the jam parts were kind of clunky. There were some parts that were mind blowing for sure. Also, I just don't really like the direction that Matt Pike has gone since the original days. I am not a huge High on Fire fan but it is what it is. At some points some of the solos sounded like a High on Fire solo on a Sleep song so while kind of interesting it was a bit jarring.
I've noticed the HoF solos recently too. It does sound a little odd.
New band name? Maybe Sleep on Fire?I guess that is just where Matt is at right now but it does sound a lot more like High on Sleep.
Why make it difficult?New band name? Maybe Sleep on Fire?
This?:Aaaaaand Good Morning.
Killed a giant spider while on the can this morning.
What's next?
Damn shame interrupting a man's poo-time.Verily a god among beasts. And I the godkiller, at least if it tries to get me while I poo.
