Max, regarding your cable: No one makes an extender. But, you can buy the parts pretty cheap. The first two connectors on this page:

(one male, one female) plus some 3-conductor wire would be all it would take.

If you want I can get the parts and put one together for you. You'd just need to reimburse me for the parts + shipping. I can get the cable for next to nothing at work, so the whole thing probably wouldn't cost more than 5-10 bucks. I could ship the finished cable to you or we could arrange a time/place to meet up.

EDIT - Wire would be about 85-90 cents a foot, so it might end up being more like 15-20 bucks altogether.

yeah like Laz said not many options other than the attentuation level. I have -25 db and -15db. I prefer the -15db. the -25 was a bit too muffled and it sounded like the band was in another room. I felt kind of disconnected. the other option is the colour of the filters themselves. I suggest you get a different colour for each ear. Otherwise in a poorly lit room or stage it is really hard to figure out which is L and R.

I really wish I could force myself to wear plugs. I've bought 'em but they never last more than a song. I also drink too much and do other things to damage myself...1 more bad habit won't kill me, right?

Yeah some of the Costcos here have pharmacies with hearing centres. They sell mostly hearing aids but they do plugs as well.

Called both my Costcos. Hearing Aids yes, plugs no.

If you have decent health insurance, just go to an ENT doctor. Cost will probably be around your specialist copay + $100-$150. Can always call and ask in advance so you're not surprised when you get the bill.

My filters are the same color, but my right plug has a built in little red circle on it while the left one doesn't, so I know which is which. Sometimes when I'm too drunk I put them in the wrong holes, and it hurts. That's what she said.

It won't kill you, but it will affect your ability to listen to and play music. I already have significant damage in my left ear - it will never get better. I have tinnitus - that will never get better. If there's any sort of background noise going on it's nearly impossible to understand what people are saying unless they speak very loudly. poopie sucks.

If all you've ever used are foam plugs, try some nicer ones from Etymotic or a similar brand. They are much, much better than the foam kind.

Tone report: The beta bass is a beast. Great clean tone. Stupid awesome dirty tones. And blending the two channels with one clean and dirty... tone heaven. Cant wait to take her to practice. Oh, and really powerful. This is gonna be a forever keeper.

I wasn't really big into the Beatles as a kid. I liked a few songs. I've listened to all their albums at least once or twice.
I put this album on at work Saturday.
I guess all the planets were aligned. I was in the right mood and it was the perfect album. One of those times where you're totally feeling every moment of the album. I love it when that happens.

It is definitely amazing when that happens. Good album, too.

Don't use the foam ones. Get better ones. They make things the same but quieter. Also your ears aren't ringing afterwards. And you won't be deaf later.
