Well I'm emotionally distraught...guitarist has been kick of let's take this perfectly good sounding and working SS Peavey, that I would love and give a good home and chop it up and put it in this broken supernova amp chassis and hope it works. Hes destroyed two already, including my first one, that tan Standard, that I gave to him on permanent loan. The one that we haven't been able to replace tone wise with any amp. And is/was a vital building block in VEGAs sound, and were recording in a couple weeks.
And he's been having tone happiness issues, but he's not letting things sink in tone wise, he's just "does this sound bad?" Then when we tell him it sounds fine he throws it out the moving car window, then picks up another road kill half mile down the road. And Repeat.
Put it this way, things have changed not musically, thank the DOOM Gods, but band relationship wise. I knew they would after what has all happened, but not like this, im getting tired of walking around on eggshells, and having to conform to his I can't drive and live 40mins away schedule.
But the music is still worth it and if I don't end up holding a vinyl with the name VEGA on it, it was all for not. I've put way to much into this to walk away with nothing.

Ouch, sorry to hear about the amps, Max. What exactly did he do to mess them up? Can it be reversed? I'm not a total electronics expert but I could try to help get them functional again.
Went through a similar never-ending tone quest with our guitarist, though I think he's finally settled - and at least he didn't destroy anything in the process.
Anyway, bummer to hear about the issues - I hope things work out for you guys.
Welp - I bought an OD Glove. Just couldn't resist. Will give it a go tonight at practice.
The Rat sounds great but it's cutting low end and the PD7 is sounding scooped and not-so-great in comparison to my other dirt pedals. So I got the glove.

What's that shift switch do on the glove? Also you should have gone for dano daddy-o the other week, tone gods we calling you.
According to the manual: "The tone switch controls the mid-frequency emphasis of the tone knob. Setting this switch to OFF creates a flatter EQ, with some emphasis on low mids. Setting the SHIFT switch to ON emphasizes mids and high mids. There is also a small increase in volume when the switch is set to ON."
That Dano is still on CL, but I read about a lot of reliability issues with them, the marshall pedals can be had for not much more money and I think the Danos are ugly. OD Glove at cost was only a few bucks more than what dude wanted for the Dano, it's made well and I'm covered if it breaks.

Max, I would assume defiling a Peavey is a mortal sin to you. Sounds like your guitar player is going out of his mind, drop a spare Peavey on his head and put him out of his misery.

Lol, took my normally awesome blue heeler disc golfing with me the other day. She's a fetch whore, but she is also an incredible listener, so I figured we'd be fine once the discs got flying. Holy crap, it's like the dog lost all obedience, wouldn't listen for a second...baffling. Luckily, if it was a good drive she left it and only grabbed my poopie throws. Still....
Pandora is cracking me up. Jamming out to the Kylesa channel and the background is splattered with hot singles advertisements. Either my incognito mode isn't working, or Pandora is like, "Hey you're listening to Municipal Waste right now, we're going to assume you're single and have never talked to a hot girl."
Man stuff day: raked leaves, hung up shelves in garage, cleaned garage, cleaned out bbq grills, re-caulked countertops, fixed a couple other odds & ends about the casa. Gased. Gonna need some brewskis and trees tonight.

I think the dano is based on the original Marshall guv'nor which is a black metal box that looks really cheesy, not the little like tan Volkswagen looking pedals they reissued it as... Unless there is no difference.
Sorry about the repeated peavey amp snuff you had to endure Max, that's disappointing, did he just take them apart and not save the screws or something?
Hmm based on my friends who enjoy municipal waste, I'd assume the ads would be for steel reserve.
I get a ton of ads in Spanish, which is funny because I hardly speak it and that's why I'm always googling stuff in Spanish lol.
I get dating service ads, which doesn't make a lot of sense as I'm happily married.
Just back from practice and holy BALLS the OD Glove sounds great! It was one of those times when you get a new piece of gear that sounds so good that it inspires you to play better. Really great sounding OD pedal, no low end loss, no howling feedback, thick and present mids, EHX knocked it out of the park.
Also brought the clone theory which was pretty noisy at high volume, but sounded cool. It won't be part of the live rig, but I'm glad that i own it.
