Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

I've been eyeing the DD and the beta drive. Might try to slam the front end with the nuke boost. Speaking of Mr. Dunwich sent him a quick message to make sure I had this hooked up right
Going to be borrowing a audix d6 soon so maybe I'll do some clips
Still wanna try out my friends 69 SVT 810... Something just tells me the Vulcan through it would be godly.
Only thing is, he says its not a flat back, it has the towel bar and whatnot, besides the fact that I've been told it has had a hideous makeover by the original owner. Which leaves me skeptical that its a 69...When did flatbacks stop and the standard fridge start?

Grabbed a Moog Minifooger Delay off reverb over the weekend. Showed up today, got to mess with it a little bit, also had my 104M home so I could hear them back to back.
If you're looking for a simple "classic" delay the minifooger is incredible. It's got the super dark washy repeats that the other moog delay pedals have, very musical and smooth sounding. Obviously the 104M has the modulation options and tap tempo (also midi, which I haven't gotten into using still).
But for classic analog delay sounds I've yet to hear anything better, especially sub $200.
Oh and stacking the minifooger with the 104M into my space echo...perfection.

The cab on the right in my pic is a 73' and I'm sure the last year ampeg did the flat back. The towel bar/tilt back started around '74. If it's cts loaded it's probably between '74-'79 the speakers could still date "73" buy chance but it should be latter.

So I'm looking to get a overdriven ampeg sound out of the univox.
The breakup is ok but since it was made to be a PA i imagine they went to special circumstances to keep it as clean as possible.
The clean tone is great on the amp.
Im shooting for a QOTSA type tone with my Ric.
Yes I own a SVT, Yes I own a P bass, and no I don't want to run my svt like its needed to active the tone at ease.

Since no local venue will let me crank a svt and the univox is lighter then the aforementioned thats why I'm asking.
It will also be the live in amp at the machete jam space soon.
I think having the overdriven amp tone then a muff to kill things when need be is my new direction for tone in the stoner band.
Ive tried to run the rat into muff as my always on tone then a boost to fill space/sound bigger and its always lacking.
Thoughts?

Akai Headrush 2, pretty fun delays and the looper is super simple to use. Easiest out of the five or so loopers I have owned. I like how you can click between the delays and looper modes with your feet too. I need to find a thin walled adapter for it though. The one spot ends are too thick to get in Akai's hole
. I robbed the adapter for my Roland drum machine and that works perfect. Not sure what brand single use pedal adapter to get for it.

I like B. After playing in D and C and my current badass guitarist playing in A, we compromised on B.
Which, I'm totally cool with. Gives me deeper vocals for my already higher pitched voice. I can't do Geddy, but I can get close as far as natural octave. Even in my 30s, I'm soprano. It's just weird because I'm not aware of anyone that sounds like me, but when you first here it, it takes you back. Or, it took me back a bit. Like whoa, I can't get my voice to sound like say, Scott Kelly or Dixie Dave, no matter what I tried. The strangest singer I can think of in this style that sort if has a higher pitched voice is the dude from Black Pyramid. And now you know what swims in my head...
