I actually don't mind rat fur anymore. My 210+218 is rat fur covered so it will match.
But if I might try resolving it myself. Purple.

So I was lurking around other parts of TB, and a dude was putting car wax on his basses. Makes sense for painted finishes. I used some meguiars (sp) on my bass and neck. Feels good and smells like coconut. It's the wipe on spray bottle stuff. Got some swirls out too. Anyone here doing this?

I use clear shoe polish on the back of the neck of my bass. It doesnt have a gloss finish though.
More importantly, am I supposed to be waxing my car? Never done that to any car I've owned.
Though a coconut smelling bass would be cool.

I've used Fender/Meguiars for a couple years now. It's decent stuff, though at this point some of my basses are getting to the point where it doesn't matter how many times I wax it, it still looks funked up. But it's good to get the surface dirt out every once and a while. I also use Howard's Feed-n-Wax Beeswax & Orange Oil for my necks.

Max, other than that badge, that doesn't even look like an ampeg cab anymore.
Also definitely not a 69' like the guy said. Probably somewhere in the 80's if it is indeed an ampeg that has been rat fur-d.

So this happened last night. Had to find the crowbar around 9pm and rip a board off of my side porch to get them all out as the pup's Momma is a shy, sneaky little thing. 4 black Chipoms that came out two weeks early.
Saw pictures, then read crowbar, and thought that puppy was stuck inside your amp or bassic. Much better news to have puppies.

Time to go down south and get them boss pedals, then hang around cow town Fort Worth or something until my friend gets off work then to her house to let the dog out, then to the oddball comedy fest. Where I hope Patton Oswalt, David cross, or Jim jefferies are the special guests or dave attell maybe.
