Whew in am the king of procrastination...

I did an entire semester long project from 10:30am until 5:30pm. 4 customer interviews, a manager interview, 14 sources and a 5 page paper analyzing kohl'a online presence and how people utilize it (apparently they don't) with 5 pages of transcribed interviews. 14 pages overall.

I've had half a dozen people offer me active pickups and preamps.
Are passive P/J sets just not as popular?

Reading that amp thread... I think anyone who says they have trained ears in regards to tone is just warning you they are supposed to be ignored.

These are the same trained ears that can hear the difference in brands of speaker cable.

I used to love them but I've found i like straight p or full jazz. That's why black bass is getting a dead bridge pickup installed. Found a perfect candidate too . Found a pickup with the coil broke at a local shop.

The cavity left in the bass' body by the removal of the P-bass pickup is now filled by a block of wood I cut and shaped today. I was intending on putting heavy screws inside to add more weight, but I got lazy.

This, in turn, is now covered by a SubRosa sticker.

People always complain pj's are uneven in volume, maybe the active pre helps them sound more level?

Is there a reason for the dummy coil over just putting the plastic cover in the hole? Or a real pickup just in case you decide one day to use it, the magnetic pull of the broken pickups there anyways (if hat actually effects anything Idk?).

P&J as fender intended are have just about useless J pickups.
Most people want a traditional j tone.
I'd just like to plug the home with something that works.
Ideally a attacked hum bucker
