Guitarist got a new Tony Iommi bucker for his Schecter and gave me his old super distortion. Popped it in my hondo LP. Sounds beastly. Got good single coil from the funky single coil and amp smashing from the super distortion.

My main regular 6-string guitar is an HSS frankenstrat I put together a few years ago. First bridge humbucker I tried was a semi-fancy alnico II hot wound thing from a small-time builder my guitard friends raved about. Sounded like doo. Tried a cheapie GFS Alnico V thing. Too harshy sizzly fizzy. Magnet swapping. Coil tapping. Wife swapping. Nothing filled the hole in my midrange. Descent into madness. Got a Super Distortion. Been HAPPY EVER SINCE.

If you don't end up filling a hole wife swapping you're doing it wrong.

Guitarist got a new Tony Iommi bucker for his Schecter and gave me his old super distortion. Popped it in my hondo LP. Sounds beastly. Got good single coil sounds from the low output funky hondo single coil and high output amp smashing from the super distortion, best of both worlds.
Nice.

Both on the fact that your guitarist got the Iommi humbucker, and also that you got the super distortion. Both excellent pickups.

Had a great GH practice, working on a new song that studio wise will have an acoustic guitar and electric guitar in it aswell. So that's gonna be cool.

And finally put my Bass 400 back together after taking it apart to clean it forever ago. Forgot how beastly it sounds and have not played it since getting new cabs. Gonna try that out in place of the Dunwich/Booster set up, as it frees up a lot of space on the pedalboard, which I also need to finish, so I can fit my Vulcan footswitch on it.
