Thanks. Yeah good call on the trim rings, I wanted some before just for looks, but they would do the trick for sure. I already struck out so far in my search for trim rings, only found Epiphone T-bird sized ones, the damn Gibson ones are the same height but wider.

Are you against the idea of chrome pickup covers and rings?

Just a dab of hot glue to connect the cover to the pickup or stuff cotton ball fluff in. Just halt the vibration.

I took both mine off for the same reason. Sucks, I like the look as well. I wonder if the ashtray cover holes from a p bass would fit on a jazz. Smaller and doesnt cover the pick up.

Maybe a small strip of foam glued to the inside would help break up the vibrations like sound reflectors in a studio?

Well I bought a shorty jag off amazon to do it as it already has two pickups and a decent bridge and tuners and I had GAS... B or A standard. My friends doing theory lessons while I teach him tech stuff then we gonna fix up one of his guitars for Similar tuning and just some weird mods he came up with.

I think I'm gonna get that SG and do BEAD. I can always drop it to A. Was just seeing if that gauge would be too heavy for BEAD. Sounds like it will work just fine though.

That jag will be sweet for it too.

Im actually playing diablo 3 right now with one of my residents at my group home, he just got a ps4 so we're lanning it up! Some times I love my job when most of my clients are asleep, but the 16 hour shift here drive me kinda nuts myself.

Diablo 3 has it's ups and downs, no where near how great 2 was but this adventure mode they added with the expansion pack makes it worth playing again.


In other news I still haven't got my tone down with the t-40, just not cutting through like I hoped too, did alittle research and found out the 70's pickups are less output than the 80's and to get everything out of them I had to raise them quite a bit, I'm hoping that fixes the issue, I also intend redoing my graphic eq on the Bassman, maybe my ultra boosted friend face isn't the way to go, still intend on trying eyeballkids settings too, they work great with my thunderbird but not so hot with the Hondo.

Also I don't think I dig circle k strings, I'm gonna rock em out for a while because their still new but I plan on going back to nickel plated steel wounds
