Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Pretty good turnout tonight. Using the house rig....could be worse ;)

At least it wasn't a peavey.

Regarding the recording equipment question, this is how it sounds recorded through iPhone on a Røde recording app. The phone was covered with two jackets.
Our guitarist loves to make those recordings from our rehearsals into kinda videoclips.
Well, I guess if we record the demo eventually we won't have to worry about clips at least :D

I have my Joyo UD on all the time here. Too bad that the fuzz rumble in the last part that sounds like an avalanche live got totally muffled.

sounds good.
why can't I find the rode recording app in the app store?

I was never a huge Colour Haze fan, i found their earlier work kind of derivative, predictable and kind of boring and unoriginal. It took them a while but they finally found their sound on 2012s She Said. I really love this album, one of my favorite releases in the last 5 years. I hope they keep expanding on this sound on their next album,

Saw them live on the She Said tour. They played a solid 3 hours show, it was pretty amazing.

4001 or 4003, what finish're ye interested in?

I'm really not sure...keeping an open mind about it. I plan on going taking a trip down to Chicago Music Exchange and asking them to bring out all of their Rics and play all of them, find the one speaks to me, find MY Ric. I'm even planing on dragging my Vulcan and maybe even my 218 down to test them through.

But I would definitely check out a Walnut or a Azulglo first.

Or is there anywhere else that stocks a butt load of old and new rics? Ido be willing to drive a ways and make a weekend of it.

Like these?

That supernova may say supernova on it but there's a Peavey Standard 260 in there.

Also Captured by robots wasn't yesterday, it's next week so after practice I checked out the fashion show that we were probaby providing the music for, that was going on above our heads. It was a dark arts gala/burlesque thing. Chatted up a gal who was a dude that was digging on our music. So it was just as interesting as metal robots playing metal.
