Word! I'm still in the market and looking. Still leaning toward the ibanez echo station but open to options. Would like a smallish footprint (bluebeard size), tap tempo, analog, and with the ability to oscillate. bonus it it had a expression out that would help with sending it into oscillation.
Dan echo is nice on guitar, I like the hi cut to warm up the repeats. Bass is fun but don't really go past an echo/reverb and even then don't really use it.
I'm thinking I'll find a nano small stone phaser instead. Anyone know what that color switch does? Is it just a lpf?

It's like a speed shift of the wave, I always keep it flipped up. Love me some phaser on bass and guitar.
Dually report, seems it had a faulty top speaker that was causing the ragged buzzing.
Very excited to blast the bastard with the ampeg side of that preamp with the deep switch engaged. By then I'll have my jaguar rewired and the new .150-.70 set in and really have fun.

I use phase and flange most during MDT shows. I use a little delay and tremolo, usually for the ends of songs when things just cascade out. No chorus.

Pssh, delay is my #1 effect, I use it on everything.
The Ibanez fits all those except for the expression pedal option, it's a solid sounding delay.
The way huge Supa-Puss would meet all the criteria, I had one from the first run and didn't like it at all, would do 3 repeats at any setting then just quickly fade out. Apparently they addressed the issues so all the ones on the market now function properly, but I haven't had a chance to check out one of the revised ones, V2 if you will.
Doesn't have the tap tempo, but the Moog Minifooger delay is incredible, sounds remarkably like it's bigger Moog brothers, super warm and dark with a very musical sound to the repeats, does have the expression pedal input so you can control delay time or feedback. I could play shows with that delay and still be happy.
FX Doctor can also mod a Carbon copy into a box about the size of a bluebeard, but adds a tap tempo and can add modulation controls. Dude does legit work, I've had him mod a ton of my pedals over the years. Haven't tried this CC tap tempo mod, but I bet it'll rule.
Is down slower? It's gonna compete against the 18v cool cat chorus (Roland JC clone) to see which will be on the clean side of my setup. I like it really slow and thick throb vs the quick warbles.
Still have tremolo curiosity but not really wanting to buy one yet, I'd like to play one with my setup first. The volume drop thing needs to be experienced first to get an idea.

A Carbon Copy with tap tempo would be the cat's arse!!! I am really digging the delays on the Akai Headrush 2. Took me a while to get used to using a delay and the tap tempo but now I love me some delay and love having a tap tempo.

Since I took today off, to recover from working a home show all weekend, I had the time to make some quick demo clips of my new bass. One "clean" clip and some with the Joyo Ultimate Drive, Wren & Cuff Pickle Pie B, Dunwich Volt Thrower and Dunwich Cthulhu Fuzz. Pretty much just picked my top of the heap dirt pedals for bass right now. Thought about doing the Wizard Fuzz as well, but I use it more for guitar and like the thick fuzz of the Cthulhu more.

Down is faster. I like the slow swoosh too, I have mine with the switch up and knob around 10:30 or 11 o'clock. I never change it, as I really only dig that sound out of it.
Decided last second I'd try a 128T, 109, 89, 69 set of deep talking flat wounds over the stainless steels in .150
I figure these will last forever try them first. I'm still using a .90 as a b string and it's holding tuning and everything so .128 should be fine

Echo Shifter is a decent pedal, but the tap tempo kinda sucks - it only takes effect when the pedal is on, and then reverts back to the slider setting as soon as you turn it off. Means you can't use the tap to "pre-set" the effect.
I also notice a big change in sound when turning in the oscillation switch (bit more distorted, bit lower volume). It works for me, but it's not a smooth transition into self oscillation.
I'd still buy another one though.
The deep switch doesn't do a scoop as much of one on the dunwich. Not sure on the specifics but that's what wrong said I'm pretty sure.
If it is a traditionaly Ampeg "Deep Switch" then it is a slight boost at 40Hz, and a cut at 500. If it is something else, then Nick will have to weigh in.
Your Dually is tuned somewhere ~50-55hz. Throwing a ton of power at it below that is going to cause your drivers to unload (That is the same with any ported cab. Doing this would be bad for my fEARful, and the dually is no where as capable.). If you really want to hear it thunder, turn the mid selector all the way down, and boost the mid band to about 3 o'clock. Leave the bass at noon.
The Deep on my Ampeg channel on the preamp does not scoop mids, just adds a big shelving type boost to the lower frequencies. The original Ampeg SVT ultra-low does do some mid cutting around 500-1k or so
