Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

I got a lot of bruised ankles when I toured with an 1820 cab. The recessed handles on it, combined with the weight and the size/shape, don't make it very convenient to move around a lot. After that I wised up and attached some casters and a towel bar to the side of it, for easier moving around and up stairs.

I still love my El Oso. I haven't been using it with the EGC, but we've spent a lot of time jamming in B standard which is when I whip out the Jazz bass. I use the Wizard Fuzz as an always on with the Jazz just like the EGC, but since I solo the single coil bridge pickup with the Jazz I can't get that thickness plus additional grit just by digging in harder like I do with the EGC, so I use the El Oso as a stacked pedal on top of the WF. It works really, really well for that application.

Haha. When I first clicked on that band's bandcamp I was like, this music is going to be so stupid. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. A lot of the lyrics are downright hilarious and the tunes are really solid. I'm amused by how unabashedly straight forward they are about all their songs being about weed. There's one track called Alligator Crawl and I was like oh, swamp band, this song is probably actually about alligators. Nope, it's about weed named alligator that gets you so stoned you can't walk right haha. We may or may not be future label mates with those guys ;)

Yeah I plan stacking it with a demon king, got run a regular demon through it and it sounded golden, so I'm assuming the gate/boost will only add to the gnarliness

Having a day off near St Paul, MN. Headed to Sioux Falls, SD tomorrow where it's even colder

****ing balls it's cold today. I'm not acclimated to it yet, but still.

Other than that I got nothing.

Jeez it was cold on my run over lunch. A sign outside said 16 degrees and I had a howling headwind coming back to the office. If I hadn't started my winter beard before Labor Day, my face'd've been screwed by frostbite!

What's up doomers?
Had our monthly safety meeting at work today. Same old circle jerk, except we lost two more managers and will be losing another by years end. Not sure *** is going on here but turnover is the name of the game.
The project manager keeps asking all of us to apply for the open positions.
No FN way. Management here has the lifespan of a gnat.
