Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Pssh, one handed SVT haul balancing a 12 pack.

Solved my blasphemous problem (needed a quieter practice rig). Went to my local GC to try out that Peavey Max 112, but it was sold. Instead, they had a used Hartke 2.5 Bass Module. Similar tone to my 410, more articulate OD at lower volume, and the same price as that Peavey Max! Loved it, so I took it home! It does kinda ruin the GK purity of my rigs, though...

But hey, the wife's happy with the reduced volume. Speaking of which, her first concern after the reduced noise was "Does it sound good to you?" Love that woman!

This may be doom-blasphemous, but I've been looking at the Phil Jones double four for this... Hi fi amp for coffee table practice, 75w size of a shoe box, will run off a labtop battery for camping etc.... it could easily be stored in a closet / under a desk. It's a little pricey, but I think it's hard to get good tone out of little amps.

I've played several of their bigger combos(all still small) and they do sound really good for their size. Really good for their price? I don't own one now.....

Jesus, new girl spent the night... Meant no farting or taking a dump. Just released the kraken...

Fun news is she's poly and says all her girl friends think I'm really cute, so she'll set me up with them and herself.

Just remember, in a three way, it is never about you unless they say it is (and it never will be). Just enjoy the fact that you get to be in the room.

My drummer works at GC. Told me he could get me 20% off just about anything, and I need tubes. Any suggestions within the GC product selection?
My drummer works at GC as well. He was able to get his own gear at cost, but for the guys in the band they, apparently, have a hookup that's cost + 20%. Damn good deal. Picked up some recording equipment for less than used prices.

Too bad I don't want anything else from that place. Well, maybe some drums.

Don't really understand the no dumping policy. When the beast needs release there can be no interference. Sounds like a fun time though. Have never found myself in a position to sleep with multiple ladies simultaneously. I have always been in monogamous long term relationships. Hopefully that day will come, but if doesn't I won't sweat it. My girlfriend does more and let's me get away with more than any girl I have met prior.
