Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

What do you guys think of the new DOD 250 reissue? There's one cheap around me, and I might try it out... I'm wanting a simple setup, just crank a single pedal and go.

I have one modded to the OG grey box specs. Use it as an always on grit for my super clean dunwich preamp. Love it, jelps me to unlock my inner little Al.

Gotcha, it's 4 input, and looks good in crappy pics, but seller hasn't responded regarding service history.
Aren't there variations in the distortion circuits too? I've seen some that say harmonics and some that say distortion.

And to be clear Id ask $200 for a fully serviced, 9/10 condition and take $150. So it would be a good deal if you could get gas taken off that.

Dont know whether theres any difference between circuits but Distortion and Harmonics are what the controls are labeled.

Here is what I was talking about.

Looks like the 6 input has its dirt labeled "Harmonics".
Whereas the 4 input has its dirt labeled " distortion. "

I have a 4 input version and it is a great head. the distortion side seems much louder than the normal side. the distortion is gnarly in a torn speaker velcro ripping way.

the 6 input is cool because you can cascade the channels in series mode.

My Ibanez Screaming Demon jr. Wah stopped allowing the signal to pass through it. Lights up but the guitar signal was intermittent through it then cut off the signal completely. Tried it out of the chain and with several different cables. Any ideas? My guess is a bad jack, or maybe that automatic on/off when the treadle is used is jazzed up, no click on or off on my unit. I don't even dig wah that much but the little one likes to use it while I play.

I just got a message on Soundcloud from someone searching for their birth parent. I guess they somehow found their way to my account because he has the same last name and lived in the same apartment building I used to 6 years ago (different unit though). I dunno if it was some kind of spam/scam thing or what, but that was really weird. I just told them sorry, never known anyone by that name and not related to them to my knowledge, but good luck with their search.
