Lived in Kentucky for a short while and loved it there and the cost of living was dirt cheap, but that was because good jobs were hard to come by. Well saw and add for apprenticeships with the electricians guild but it required that you had taken a college algebra class which I did so I had an in. You had to be a laborer for like $17 bucks and hour or something like that and had to go to one night class a week for two years and were guaranteed $24 bucks and hour upon completion of the class. Well broke up with my girlfriend and moved back to PA and started college back home, and then they finally called me for an interview. There are like three jobs I regret not taking in my life, that one, a wastewater treatment job at a luxury hotel in the Bahamas, and state fish hatchery job in PA. But no I wanted to finish college, what a dumb shagk I was repeatedly. I do actually work in the field of my degree in Geography but not the field I wanted and still got stuck in front of an FN computer all day long.
Keep in mind the "trades" tend to be bottled up and controlled by unions. Not sure about Wisconsin.

It's a "trade" that again could be in the control of the electrical companies. But it's a skill in doing right and can lead to a desk job with bouts of Mc Gyverism.
Main thing is impress a customer with your ability to follow through and usually they will crack a door open for you to land.

Just found out the restaurant is open on sunday for a concert. It is my only day where I usually dont have to go in to both jobs. Going to be 13 days straight, at least I have saturday and sunday morning off. 150 hours in two weeks. Might kill me by the end of next week...
MI is the same, and you can not be required to pay union dues to belong to the union. Pretty much an attempt to push everyone earning less than $50k a year in to serf status.

Damn I thought Northeast PA was cold, but you Midwesterners are hardcore. But no matter how cold it gets there are people at bars back home. I love summers in PA but that is about it. I think I am ready to move to the Southwest, they must need mappers there or Walmart Greeters LOL, can't afford California.
It all depends on the projects if Union labor is needed. It's usually always new construction = Union base trades involved usually. Forking Mafia poopie.

I had plenty o beers last night, my toilet knows that this morning. My wallet will be feeling it when i stop by a music store thats having a storewide sale too. Pretty sure im gonna pick up one of them mini moog delays, as well as put an order down for a bass VI. And have a few other deals in the works involving heavy fuzzes and another old Peavey. So like you said who needs money, when ill have a warm house of cabs to sleep in and enough old SS wattage to cook spam and enough pedals to diddle my heart away.
That is one nice thing about an octet of KT88's. They warm the room up.
