Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

By the way: there's no Krampus in Polish mythology.
We've got like dozen of pre-Christian pagan deities that have their holidays during the Christmas solstices.
AND Christian festivities. Lots of festivities going on during that time of the year. Mostly drinking and speniding time with families.

Yeah just posted for some giggles but I knew it was the wrong part of Europe for Krampus lol, plus I grew up in Whiteville USA where in my age group lots of our older kin still spoke Polish, Slovak, etc. and we loved to bust each other's balls about ethnicity for some silly but fun male bonding reason LOL. But everyone should love Krampus I say, makes Christmas way more fun!

My kids prefer Schmutzli, not quite as fearsome as Krampus, but still reasonably fearsome.

At this point id say do it, deal with that funky stuff later if it happens at all.

Should be getting my bass VI this week...yah!

jelly.

i've got the cthulhu coming but other than that i am just saving money for the boring "board essentials" (stereo volume pedal, pedaltrain jr+hc, peterson tuner). seems like we're doing an aussie tour next year.. gotta get those road cases :)

Any of you guys ever deal with old band members resurfacing, who quit music and (usually) sold all their gear, hitting you up to start a new band? It's tempting, because I'm so damned desperate, but I know they have a tendency to check out of bands when they get into a mental funk.
Have you considered moving to a different state at this point? Poor Corey.

Traveled to Austin today, waking up tomorrow and driving to South Carolina with my parents to see one of my sets of grandparents.

11 people in a 3 bedroom house, half are super Christian the other half nice enough not to have a good time... Not a drop to drink, just the hallmark channel, and forced church.

It's the opposite of Yippy skippy here... So saddy baddy?

Any Rocksmith love here? We bought Micah and Xbox 360 so he could play Minecraft, so I thought I might pickup the 2012 version since it has better songs on it then the 2014 version. Trying to force myself to learn some cover songs instead of noddleing away with theory practice, but I hate looking at/reading from band song books.

It's interesting, and you can practice through your tv and use the pedals in game. A few of the mini games don't work 100% as intended because a bass or guitar isn't perfectly intonated. Like one games about bends, but can't register very well so to compensate you have to do slides to reach a step up or down or whatever to accurately register it.

Like laz says it misses chances to truly immerse you in theory lessons etc to make sure it's fun.

I eat one McRib per year then call it good.

Had a real one once, I'm done.

My elementary school made them too lol, they got recalled once because they had bones. which given how that patty is made and shaped to simulate ribbage that's downright worrisome.

I work at home in the city center, no need to even use public transport, I just walk everywhere.
The downside is, sometimes I don't go outside for 3 or 4 days if I get swamped with work.
Most of the time this is me... On the flip side I have a 55 ish mile commute to one office and 102 mile to the other one. I have to go in one more time this week and get an inventory completed of some gear. Then I can hang back again at home. Couldn't today. The ex called asking me to pick up the girl. Since I was out of town for a month I felt obligated.

Pretty fun gig last night. Felt good to play after half a year off. My singer used some open source space horizon CGI generator and burned a blu-ray that we played on the movie theater projector. You can't tell that well in this photo but it looks incredible.

Not sure if it was because of the two GC brand Acoustic 810s but I didn't love the tone I was getting out of the SVT-CL. I still want to try a tube amp through my Dually but last night just further reinforced my love for my Terror Bass head. We played a bunch of new tracks last night that went over pretty well.
What shape is your EGC? Like that shape more than some I've seen on the website. Love the green. Shame about the tone but, good your playing.

So was your colitis a one time thing or chronic could they tell you?
The ER fumbled some tests so they don't know. The plan according to my doc is act normal and if it happens again rush to er before it gets out of hand.
At that point I would have to work up some stupid diet with a GI.
I don't like the whole, "we aren't sure if your sitting on a bomb out not but try and keep it warm."

Bought that Peavey 2x15. Haven't had a chance to turn it up with my little Ampeg Micro beyond 1.5 yet, but it's waaaaayyyyy louder than the Ampeg 210. Not sure what the drivers are, guy i bought it from said they were put in about a year ago. probably pull them out tomorrow and see what's what.

Yeah just for songs is all I want really. I'm not a gamer at all. And I know enough theory already to be dangerous. I like the songlist on the 2012 version and it is only $35 to $40 shipped new on ebay, so why not. Plus Micah may like the games if I find a micro guitar for him.
