Damn it! SVT still not working, just got it serviced and retubed and now it's distorting and lacking power. Gt200 in Montreal getting some work done. Going to have to play All That Is Heavy with the Walkabout. How doomy is that?

You don't have any bass buddies you can borrow a "doom" amp from?

KC is near Topeka, right? Ever hear of The Midnight Ghost Train? I saw them in Pittsburgh when they were on tour with Truckfighters and they killed it! Talked to them for a bit after the show. Real good dudes.

Could you contact some of the other bands and explain the situation to their bassists?
Sam I think we both should go to a 7 pro like Laz. My SVT-CL breaks down when I look at it! The White amp is solid but I trust my 4 Pro more. I think the ole Bluebeard through a 7 pro or 4 pro can work wonders and last
Well I brought the SVT home and plugged it into my 210 and it sounded fine the distortion is all gone. Which doesn't necessarily make me feel better. I don't think my 810 is the problem as the distorted sound definitely did not sound like speaker distortion. Im going to go back to the jam space and try it again, which is a pain I the ass because that's a half hour drove each way.
Laz, the guild looks great and those 2 additional clips that you posted were also very awesome. The 7 PRO certainly sounds like it can get the jjob done.
Got a little note from the guy working on my Matamp (same guy who built the Richtone).
440hz sine wave @ 0.7 volts, a scope and a 5 ohm 400 watt dummy load.
The Matamp makes 31 volts out clean = 192 watts
and 40.5 volts "dimed" = 328 awesome dirty watts.
In case anyone was wondering....

Thanks man. We come from a lot of different places. Our lead singer has been in a hardcore band for 10 years. Our drummer is the front man of a straight up rock and roll band, and I played bass in a punk band. It makes for a really interesting view on Stoner / Doom, for sure. I love the grooves we get into, even though I'm playing guitar.
KC is about two hours east of Topeka. I've heard of Midnight Ghost Train, but I've never heard / seen them. KC has a weird metal scene. TONS of Thrash / D Beat / New Hardcore / Etc, so we get put on bills that are a lot of hardcore bands and us.
I have a green Russian muff, grey stache, mess drive, Bluebeard, SFT, and none of them are doing it.
MarkBass LMII? I've been GAS'n over some MarkBass recently, when I bought my Ampeg it was between the B2R or a LMII, I may have made a mistake...I have to go think of how not to spend more money.
