Cone control for less than wonderful drivers?![]()

GB claims significant IP in their power section to make it mimic output transformer and tubes. I doubt B'ringer managed a reverse engineering of it but if they have, it will get bloody. Fender payed the big bucks for the GB tech.
I highly doubt they would use an IcePower module. They would just copy one and build their own version of it.If these are in fact a copy of the Streamliner which uses the ICEpower module it would indeed have high voltage present in the switching power supply. Andy from Genz chimed in on my homemade Eden WTX900 thread that I used a Genz power section to build and confirmed it had 300+ volts in the supply.

They don't use B&O's ICEPower modules in their newer power amp designs (iNuke series), which makes me think they wouldn't here either. The iNukes use a proprietary PCB design, which makes use of a power mosfet driver chip made by International Rectifier:

This is fairly typical of Behringer in my experience. They seem to prefer laying out their own circuit PCBs, using common, off-the-shelf ICs and components. When a particular IC is scarce or expensive and there is no off-the-shelf alternative, they will even roll their own IC designs.
Your forgetting one very important factor here and that is the fact the China doesn't recognize US Patent laws. In other words, they don't give cr*p if their companies rip of US products, or not. From what I saw at NAMM this amp is a total rip off of the Streamliner with the TC handle built in. The thing I don't get is Behringer actually has some very talented engineers at their disposal. They are perfectly capable of designing their own products, yet choose the business model of copying and undercutting the price as their normal way of doing business. Fact is that Chinese companies just look at this as a totally acceptable way of doing business and they don't give it a second thought, yet we continue to send our products overseas for them to make. Sorry to rant here, but this stuff hits close to home for me and drives me nuts.

The whole "Veyron" thing is iffy because that is a Bugatti car (fastest in the world) and they actually show a car engine on the page for the amp!! Did they pay Bugatti?
Hello all,
I'm a product specialist for MUSIC Group/Bugera, and would be glad to answer any questions about the new Veyron amp heads. The overall response to these new amps was extremely positive at the recent NAMM show, and I'll be happy to answer any questions I can about the amps themselves, or will interface with the R&D people for any answers I don't have at the moment.
Thank you, and please feel free to PM me or post questions here.
