STREET BASS - New FleaBass Model.

Personally, I don't care that it's basswood if it's half decent and the price drop that comes with it is worth it. The new colors help as well, it's a large improvement to me. We don't have any street price yet though do we?

Musicstore is selling them for 250€. this bass sounds great, and it's different from the squiers that many of us have been buying. the build quality is good, the pup gives a sort of MM sound, and the colours are VERY different from fender's black, white, red, burst. and at 250, they're 100€ cheaper than a CV jazz!! I'm really GASing for the silver one.

I was able to play my brothers yesterday and it wasn't bad at all! The fit and finish was pretty darn good, setup was excellent out of the box, neck is uber straight. The only flaw I could find was a bit of finish slop at the truss rod adjustment, why not just put a cover on it? It has a jazz type neck and the wood grain on the back was gorgeous. It even has a bit of an angled cut at the neck joint, nice touch. Strings through body, nice bridge, I liked it! After playing my new Sadowsky, it definately feels like a cheap bass but well worth the money in my opinion. Good job Flea!

200$ difference on the price tag wouldn't be worth it even if it had the alder, duncan pups, badassII bridge and a pau ferro fretboard. well, maybe then it would be worth it:ninja:

That's the best I've heard of anything from Fleabass so far unfortunately...

I'd say it was pretty solid for $300, I've picked up a Ray 34 at GC and thought it was a piece of junk, so i guess you never know and all samples are a bit different. Ok, I shouldn't say "piece of junk" I just distinctively remember being unimpressed with the Ray.
