Modern music, techno, rap, hip hop and electronica

Modern fashion: Stupid hairdos and guys and girls wear the same pants. But guys have the rears hanging out..still don't get that. And what's up with the Spiderman sunglasses??

And is it me or are these kids the laziest sacks of potatoes any generation has ever seen? These kids don't do any work around the house, cut the grass outside or anything. They sit inside and play video games all day.

I blame the parents for raising a generation or cake eaters that lack work ethics, and have bad taste in music and fashion. :hmm:

I know I must sound like an old man, but being in my mid 30's but the kids sure have changed a lot from when I was younger.

I despise this kind of stereotyping of us... I have chores to do, I do them, I do my homework, I'm not lazy, I worked (at least partially) for all my expensive basses. Plus, I like to think I have good taste in music. :crying:

I am not against tight pants, but I am against tight tapered pants with slip on keds. Thankfully, that combination of clothing easily allows me to outrun the offender and beat them down in the street like they deserve.

Oh, and first person shooters. 3D games in general just ain't where it's at. Proper video gaming has only 2 dimensions and involves jumping on turtles.

Wow, you do sound old.

Kids have their own thing going on, they always do.

The only thing I can criticize is their muscle-tone. Seriously kids, go outside and ride your bike or something. Back in the 70's we looked like wild savages by the end of the summer. Nowadays, most of you look like the Pillsbury dough boy....

The only people that are like that are the ones that the parents raised them to be little pussies and are told to run away in times of conflict. HAHA. Those are the kids we pick on.

Kudos to your folks for making sure you grow up with a good work ethic, and you work to buy your gear! Good to hear. Of course this is stereotyping, the nature of the thread is to stereotype.

Most HS kids, their parents buy them everything. They never worked a job. They are not made to do any chores. Lets face it...most everything modern is not good. Music, television, work ethic..etc etc. If you have good taste in music that's good. I really think 95% of the newer stuff isn't doing your generation any favors as far as material to learn and get better to playing music.

+1 to most of that. Although it's worth noting that there is a small percentage of the youth population that doesn't fit that, not because they're social outcasts, but because they were instilled with some degree of free will. Those are the people I choose to associate with.

When I text, email, leave comments, whatever, I use proper spelling, grammar, etc. I can't stand what passes for fashion with kids my age, I mow my own lawn and earn every cent that I spend, and quite frankly, I don't want to have anything to do with most of the kids my age or younger, because of exactly what you just described.

I do like cake though. It's always cake time.

I think it depends on where you live in the country. Society as a whole is somewhat getting lazy. From making music in the studio versus using real musicians, the television programs is all the same..all reality based garbage. Fashion is very asexual..kids kinda wear the same stuff. Politics..nuffsaid, everything is done to make a quick buck and most things lack substance. Yeah I sound old, but just calling it how I see it. Sure I am sterotyping, I hope I don't offend the youngsters out there that appreciate good music, that have a job, do good in school, and do work around the house to help their parents. But I guarantee all young people have friends that all the do is play video games, listen to crappy music and watch American Idol or the Bachelor every chance they get:spit:
