Suicide and those quietly considering it

^^ been there, done that. I approached therapy with the perspective that I had nothing to be ashamed of. Thus, I have been brutally honest. Even when she asks about my suicidal tendencies, I have to be honest, even though I know it might some day result in me being hospitalized. Even with that, I try to believe that if she feels its for the best, I should probably comply.

The problem is...there's no such thing as a breakthrough. No changes are permanent. All changes require constant conscious thought to maintain. It is a constant effort.

Yeah, it feels nice to open up and communicate completely honestly. But that doesn't actually 'fix' anything, and the feeling fades pretty quick.

I am getting a TWLOHA rubber bracelet.

I always wear my wristbands Slipknot logo, I am Second, I love Boobs (For Breast Cancer!), so I figure by wearing TWLOHA it'll give me the kick in the pants I need to start trying to help myself again.

I have been waiting around since December waiting for the Retirement home to call me back I'm sick of waiting. If they don't want me I'll find someplace else that does. There's a woman's shelter near my house maybe I'll try there.
Maybe even volunteer at my church on top of it.
Or I could always volunteer at the animal shelter near my old high school I always liked animals over people anyways. Plus I always dreamed of working with animals as a kid perhaps I'll do that and my church AND the woman's shelter.

I just don't think I can work with kids I'm great with them but, I'm sorta concered they'll say I touched them or something. I never would that's sick but, knowing how I was as a kid I won't put it past any of them munchkins.

I honestly never seen/heard of my city having one.

I graduated in another city's Community center.

I live in the Dallas Fort Worth suburbs alot of the suburbs don't have things like community centers I don't think. Heck I didn't even know my city had a court house until I got a bum truancy case.

Are any of these ones near by?

Perhaps firing off a few e-mails outlining what you're looking for would help.

Side note: Song on my brain that relates to this thread

In the spirit of how adopting a healthy diet and regular exercise can aid in combating depression, so too is the need to get a consistently good night's sleep.

If I'm well rested I always feel stronger physically and psychologically.

The following documentaries offer an insight into how sleep works at various stages in our lives and how to improve the quality of one's own rest:

The Secret Life of Your Body Clock - BBC Horizon
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqQbGPXSKD0
Why are you more likely to have a heart attack at eight o'clock in the morning or crash your car on the motorway at two o'clock in the afternoon? Can taking your medication at the right time of day really save your life? And have you ever wondered why teenagers will not get out of bed in the morning?

The answers to these questions lie in the secret world of the biological clock.

How to Sleep Better
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xu2AaD8VoNE
Wouldn't you like to Discover How to Sleep Better? A movie by BBC, How to Sleep Better, presented by a professor Robert Winston is a practical guide to the world of sleep. The programme explores the common problems, dangers and the mysteries that have puzzled scientists for years.

There is no magic bullet for depression....it is self indulgent......suicide is the ultimate self indulgent act.....It sounds harsh but it is what it is.....Get in your car and drive far away ...go somewhere where people have it tough.....talk to them ....empathise with them.........help them ........drag your mind away from 'you'.
Maybe you will see how lucky you are that that particular spermatazoa (out of millions) got to the egg and made you. Everything in life is choice...choose not to be a victim ........the answers are all within yourself.

I learned long ago you can't run away from yourself.

Helping others is great but, you never quite shake those nasty thoughts. Once you get them they stick around coming back after awhile when you think you've solved the problem associated with them. I thought I had suicide thoughts gone when I turned 15 but, then I hit a bump and the deep depression and bad thoughts came back.

Well....On second thought...I'm not sure the public forum is the best place to share those opinions. If you really want to know, PM me.

There are so many things wrong about your statements, I hardly know where to begin.
