Ok geeks... I'm building a bass that will travel the Mycelial Plane via a Displacement-activated Spore Drive Hub!!
... AND...for good measure ....auxiliary power power provided by, a Zero Point Module. (ZedPM)

If it was a 5 string I'd be all over it.

Beej, can this also include bass related, non instrument gear like a bass cabinet or head? If so I have a couple of ideas, but still maybe only in time for the next WBO.

Not really interested in voting specifically, but as a parallel thread because I have the skillset to do these as well.

The idea for a cab is a bit unique.

The idea was for a musical instrument build, but opening it up for non-bass register instruments to participate as well. I was thinking more like a stick, tapping instrument, guitar, etc, but was hoping for something wild if someone is so inclined. I think though an amp is contributory to tone, it would be stretching the envelope too far. I'll update the first post.

Thanks Beej. I'm happy just to build a cab/head in the same timeframe as the BO, not a part of it, just to be involved in what I can do, and maybe give ideas to others in the same way I've taken lots of ideas for you guys.

I glossed over this at first, but now I'm struck by how it resonates. Anecdotally there's been a lot of nerdism... enough to possibly sustain a theme for this coming Winter Build Off? hmm... What sayest thou Build Off Oracle? @Reedt2000

Awe... I'm touched that anyone might consider the opinions of a weekend, low-end warrior from the center of the garden state influential, let alone people with the talent level that exists in this beautiful little corner of the interwebs

Conceptually I think there is a great deal of inspirado that could come from a "let your nerd flag fly" theme. From Sci fi and fantasy aesthetic, to tech utilization (@Jon Clegg looking at you here ), the pool of where concepts might come from is rich and vast. I readily admit my nerdism, I read Tolkien at a time when most kids my age were reading Seuss and still greatly enjoy fantasy and science fiction (literally have TNG on in the background as I write this ).

So I say... make it so
