New pedal day X2!

So, first of all, thanks @Sensei Tim

Got these two today and had a chance to mess with them and I am super impressed. The Mono was a complete surprise. There are aspects of an SVT in there, but punchier and more flexible with the EQ. Total sleeper and just killer. I can see this becoming a very well used preamp.

The Thespian might be the best pedal Fender TMB tone stack that I have played through. The mid boost switch is what does it, but also the bass response - sooooooo fat and juicy. I was thinking about pairing this up with my Noble, but it stands very well on its own. Very, very pleased

My only dislike is those dang frequency pots are impossible to read; I'll never understand why Alpha made their plastic shafts like that without a white marker. I'll be taking some tape and white model paint to fill-in the divots myself, so easy enough to fix

I used white nail polish and applied it with a toothpick. Turned out very well!!

Had to check the Thespian out and I guess someone is a bit of a hockey fan. Late ‘80’s Flames fan or early ‘90’s Leaf fan perhaps. :smug:

For the record, I was a huge Doug Gilmour fan back in the day. Coincidentally I’m an even bigger David Gilmour fan. It’s all a good thing. And yes, I’ve made a bass guitar out of a hockey stick for a high school show once. It was a thing of beauty. So long ago now tho’.

Seems like an apt time for a sneak preview of my custom pedal that sparked the Super 800.
