Super 300 Owners Society

Just wanted to start a thread dedicated solely to this amazing new offering on the scene.

I was an early devotee of this pedal, getting one several months ago. It led me to seriously rethink tone. Because it sounded so good I ended up going much cleaner and enjoying the pure deep tone of my new clean"ish" sound.

Yes, the Super 300 can get dirty if you want it, but it always retains that depth, even with the gain maxed.

It also sounds amazing stacked into other pedals. My personal favorite so far is stacking it with my Diabolik. Second fave is stacking into my Blammo Perkolator, although truth be told, the Rusty Box/Perk combo is probably the best cleanish/dirty sound I've ever heard.

Anyhow, just wanted to get this party started. Post your pics, thoughts, settings, sound clips if you care to join in. Here's a pic of my current "pedalboard" with the 300 figured prominently in the middle. [ATT

I was turned on to this amazing box by fellow forum mate @moon-bass .Being a huge preamp freak I had to see what the fuss was about and looked for and listened to every bit of info I could find.I've been totally blown away by the sound of it.In demos I've heard it is as close to the real thing as I've ever heard.I have one being built for me at the moment and can't wait to join the club!

i received a big box of new printed enclosures yesterday. Will be drilling them in the next day or two. Still waiting on the PCBs which should be here today or tomorrow.

I'm hoping to get the current orders out by the end of the long weekend.

Just received my Super 300 today and gave it a good try out. It's going to knock a few pedals off of my pedalboard. Can't wait to try out the new Orange pedal that should be coming out soon from Master Effects!View attachment 4241223
That caught my eye also.I have AMTs version of the Orange 200 and the tiny real tube pedal does a nice job with endless grit.
What Tim has peaked my interest with though is the RB Super 800.Any info on it?

The Super 100 will be the Hiwatt DR103 (whenever i can finish it!)
The Super 200 is the Orange AB200
The Super 300 is the Ampeg SVT
The Super 400 will be the Mesa Boogie Bass 400 (SoOn!)
The Super 800 is the GK 800RB
The Monorail is the Traynor Monoblock II

the Super 800 is the 800RB circuit from the input all the way up to the biamp switch, less the DI. ±15V just like the original amp. It's a faithful reproduction of the 80s 800RB circuit but using modern components and manufacturing techniques.

I'm liking the sound of that. Those 80s GKs were great sounding. Here comes another G.A.S. attack.Oh lordy!

I have no info on the 800 pedal. I have to say that the S300 is still on my pedalboard, and I also have the AMT O-Brick and I agree with you on that pedal.

Paul Cioks has explained the RCA choice a number of times, makes sense to me and I’ve never had an issue in the nearly dozen years I’ve been using his supplies:

I don't really have issues with Cioks cables other than they're the only one I can't interchange . I own a bunch of power supplies and all others use the standard one.Dont get me wrong I love Cioks, I own 3 and they are probably the best of any.I just need to order a few more cables to have on hand.

Jsut got my Super 800. Kicks ass! One of the knobs has a stripped screw right out the box which is a little offputting for a 250 pedal, but overall it sounds great and just what I remember my 800 RB sounded like. How are you guys getting the "rails" sound? This thing stays pretty clean.

Now how do I go about getting a replacement knob?

Email Tim about the knob?

For the rails sound, the way I understand it, try cranking the boost and volume knobs. Volume is gain. Master is actually output volume.
