I am going to create one, but had to ship my pedal back for repairs. It’s still in transit... so eventually I’ll get a video up. But but it may be the first week of May at the current shipping times...

Debut gig for both my Super 300 and Empress Bass Compressor pedals. I set the comp for no coloration and subtle parallel compression: in short, a bit of extra sustain to simulate high volume. The Darkglass amp was run in clean mode, which is reasonably transparent. I played both basses: Sadowsky with flats and custom Nordy with rounds. Both are active, with Sadowsky being fairly hot, while Nordy output is the same as passive with EQ flat (and I always run EQ flat). Naturally, I had to readjust gain settings when switching from one to the other.

I ran the 300 at 12V/400mA. I think I prefer that to 9V.

In short, I love the pedal. The 300 sounded better at the gig than at my quiet home rehearsals... no surprise there! It gave the class D amp some really nice tube heft and sag. I basically ran with my favorite settings from home rehearsal; didn't have a chance to tweak much at the gig. I really should experiment more at home, especially with the bright footswitch. But I'm already happy, so that isn't exactly urgent.

The Tech 21 DP-3X (dUg pedal) is an old favorite but I only used it for the tuner. Last week I tried running dUg into 300 and liked the result: the 300 gave the modern-sounding dUg a more vintage feel. Didn't do that today because I wanted to focus on the 300. It definitely works well all by itself!

My dream is to run the 300 into my Bergantino NV610. I could have used the NV610 at today's outdoor gig: easy load in, and plenty of space for it. But this band just uses stick PA so the big cab would have been overkill, I wouldn't have been able to push it.

Cabs are made by Reiner Amplification (@JGR) who also makes the Gasoline pedal that I think you might also own. My lower back has been iffy recently so I used the neo 1x12 cabs. They sound great, but for tone alone I prefer my sealed Reiner 2x12 with mid driver and ceramic woofers -- downsides are that it won't handle as much power as the neo single twelves, and it's not as easy to schlep as the neos.

I also own a pair Reiner amplifiers which have class D power sections and amazing all-tube preamps. I almost used one this weekend, but decided to try the Super 300 with a tube-free amp. The Reiner amps already have tube magic, but the Darkglass is pure solid state and I used the clean channel, bypassing the onboard overdrive. Next gig I will use the Super 300 with a Reiner amp for extra toob vibe! It'll also be interesting to try Super 300 stacked into the Darkglass amp with overdrive on.

I wondered if those were Reiners. I used to own a Gasoline, but I foolishly sold it as a dedicated flipper. I’ve looked for another, but alas, everyone is hanging on to them. I would also be interested in getting a Reiner amp, someday.

I'm a couple of days behind but they're starting to come together quicker. Trying to get 4 or 5 out every other day this week.

Also, please don't run the pedals higher than 12V. The chip that controls the switching has a max input voltage of 15V and if it blows you won't be able to switch the pedal on or off (or turn bright on or off, or both).

I snagged one for normal retail price a few months ago. You really gotta stay on top of their availability. I picked up mine from Eastside music in Nashville. Very cool guys. I see them now on Reverb for like $1200. It's an amazing pedal, but not worth more than retail IMO.

Got mine today as well, found it was very quiet with the volume anywhere lower than 3 o’clock and almost impossible to get a clean tone. I only played it through headphones and not through my amp yet so will be testing it more in the next couple of days.

Anyone else have this experience? I’m not sure if I maybe got a bad unit or if it’s just not for me.

That doesn't sound right. It's certainly not an ultra clean preamp, but mine is clean-ish up until about 9 o'clock on the Gain, and with that setting I run the Volume around 1 o'clock for a slight boost in overall level.

Mine also showed up today in the mailbox. Oh Happy Day! Gave it a little try-out last night and am impressed with the added depth and punch it gives my little Hartke KB-15. It will kick a couple of pedals off my board, real estate is limited. More testing tonight with my other rigs. So far, I'm loving it. The dirt is just what I was looking for. There are so many tonal options I need to set up a loop to play through it while I turn the dials.

Essentially the same here. With my active basses I keep Gain low, around 8 o'clock, with volume in the vicinity of noon. That gives me the subtle hair I'm looking for at unity gain.
