Here's my H1. If y'all are looking for a case, I bought a Gator Les Paul polyfoam case (GL-LPS) that is *almost* a perfect fit. The width and length are perfect. However, the body is too narrow for the case. As a result, the bass tilts neck up. I mitigated that by placing a folded t-shirt under the body. Now it rests horizontally and snuggly in the case. When you close it, the lid rests on the guitar with maybe a half-inch gap. So when you zip it up, the lid presses on the body and neck. However, it doesn't require any undue pressure to zip it so I think that is fine. I think the case is a keeper. I know the H1 is.

The Gator Pro-Go electric guitar gig bag (G-PG ELECTRIC) is also a good fit, BTW.

You might read up in the thread as many have complained about the E string and several people (including me) have experimented with ways to bring it's volume up. For me, trimming the silks at the bridge helped. It's worth a look.f

If you want to try different flatwounds, I'd heartily recommend the Dunlops. I have them on my mustang and various long scales. I'm content with the default Chromes for now, but those will be on it before long.

I have just bought a Huntington 1 in Ash and I don't seem to have these issues with the E string. But what I have noticed the strings are roundwound and there is no silk lining on them. I hope now I have said this nothing appears !!!!!

Forgot to put on original post I had to have the lightest Huntinton they had because of a should and back injury but mine did not have the piezo. Does anyone know if this can be bought as a seperate item and fitted by my local guitar tech?.

I know the piezo can be ordered as an option on any of the Huntingtons for about $100 extra. And I believe the piezo can be ordered as a separate part for a bass you already have.

I've changed out my flats for a set of Ken Smith stainless rounds. I (like others) was having trouble with a quiet or indefinite E string. The KS strings turned that around. Right now, they're quite twangy, as are all new stainless strings. But they'll settle in just fine, and they're giving the E string much needed volume and definition. The balance between strings is great now.

Out of curiosity, are you using a short scale or a regular set? I never bothered to measure the winding length on that bass.
