Gotta love the logic of that conversation:

Thinking about it, it might just make sense. So let's add it to the TNS list.

Voted for nummering the answers. I think I'd use that more and it would be super efficiënt in threads. It can als be combined:
First the catalogus nummer for the post and then the answer. IE: #1:2-5 could mean: best bass for metal: "get of my lawn" (2) and "any black p will do". (5).

I would already like to claim nummer one for "I'm an agnostic towards tonewood"

And why #60 praytell? Easy, because it can be evenly divided by 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 15, 20, 30, 60.
Even more importantly, it was Otis (University of Mars) Sistrunk's number when he played for The Raiders.

You could catalog standard responses too, then you'd end up with whole threads that are just numerical references. Whole flame wars could be fought in this manner.

Numbering system? I don't get it, just grab yourself a Fender Rumble and a Squier VM jazz. Place it on a step ladder because you don't have ears in your knees and stuff a foam block under that new set of Labellas. Tie a fishing weight or two to the rear strap pin to alleviate neck dive but make sure to to use a scale to weigh the entire contraption and get an accurate weight-based resale value.
