Nope, 2 this year, within 4 days of each other. Found the Schecter Model T after buying the VM and couldn't say no.

Are you a 1 bass buy a year?

I wish! Only bought 5 last year, but I also bought a V-4b and HLF-410 SVT cab.
Absolutely love that amp, and was worth selling 2x American Fenders to get.
Aiming for just the one bass, still buying parts to fuel inject, lock both differentials, some rock armor and a winch for the K10

What amp are you using?

I've got a Peavey KB-60 that I picked up a couple years ago with a used Peavey Fury from a co-worker. Ended up giving the Fury to another co-workers son who wanted to learn to play. Also have a Peavey micro-bass in storage. I was looking at an Overtone flyweight 200, but have no need for anything more than what I've got right now. Yeah, the K-10 looks good. I've got an '87 Sierra R1500 suburban

Fender style neck on a tbird. This is one of the medium scale conversion necks. Shortened it up just a tad so my Popeye short round arms can play it.

See ya tomorrow?

I had an Applause AE-40 that I completely hated, but really wanted something for playing acoustic with friends on a 12-string, 6 string and mandolin. The Applause couldn't keep up. I was about to give up on it and read some really good things on the Thunderchief. It was a little out of my price range, but I did it anyway, and it was completely worth it. The tone is great and it projects really well. The other guys can hear it while playing. Its great. I love the neck, feels a lot like my P. The only downside I have is the body width, takes some getting used to, but sits better than the AE-40 (round back), that wouldn't stay put to save it's life. When I'm done playing it goes back in the case, because it looks like it would mark up easily.

Try any ABGs?
I tried a fretless AE-40 once. It was lovely. I went back to buy it the next day and it was gone. That's how I ended up with an L-2000... I bought it out of depression.

Any passed-up opportunities that you regret?

Only thing I can think of is not buying the bridge that went with the Squier Active J body that I bought. I've been having a really difficult time finding a replacement. Should have bought both at the same time.

I was looking at L-2000s for a while, what's your opinion on those? Can they really handle everything?

I own an American L-2000, from 1988. Without dragging on, you can basically use those humbucker pickups to do anything - Precision, Jazz or Stingray tones.

Are you looking at Tributes or American?
