I like the original Ampeg basses with the F-holes that go through the body and the Baby Bass. I don't like the Dan Armstrong clear basses (ridonkulous heavy) or the Big Studs (crap).

Networking and being a decent hang who doesn't complain too much are way more important than being the greatest player. Also, singing will increase your marketability way more than playing your instrument well
