tapping and harmonics solo bass video

The epic love peace that came up was pro. level.

But musically (were it counts for me) it was so soothing. It took my mind off of things and started me to day dream. That's when I know a peace of music is good for me.

I'll take a listen to your other stuff later.

Thanks for posting.

thanks a lot!

that was incredible that put me at ease how did your girlfriend like it? lol

she's actually INCREDIBLY sick of hearing that tune - or any of my other bass stuff for that matter. i think i'm driving her crazy.

i think what's amazing about michael and steve is their ability to play different styles, techniques and adjust their bass playing depending on the situation. i myself am lousy at playing 'normal' bass as i've spent my practice time doing solo stuff. it's just so incredible how some people have mastered everything...

cheers,
zander

Steve,

I appreciate what you said greatly. I'll take this opportunity to say thank you so much for your inspirational music. It's interesting that you mentioned the reverb. On 'Not Dancing for Chicken' (the inside cover) you wrote about the importance of sound:

'I've been thinking more and more about sound and less about notes... without a great sound to attach (harmony and melody) to, fast playing and clever techniques aren't going to make it sound good.'

That sentence you wrote really affected the way I thought about music and the bass... I started thinking more about effects, the bass I was playing, tone, eq settings, style of plucking, etc... It's such an extremely important concept - and I see it's being discussed in detail on this forum.

Slain, I know that feeling of 'pick up the bass time'. Every time I listen to Michael, Steve, Jeff, Victor it takes over! I really am honoured that I could make you feel that way. Let me know how it goes!

take care,
Zander
