Last night I put some copper shielding in, installed the neck, installed the bridge and ground wire and mounted the pickups. Each PU has 3 wires, it was a tight fit in places.

I put some old strings on it to test it. And the neck was screwed on a little crooked...my bad.

Re-mounted the neck. Better but not perfect, certainly useable. I’m sure the neck will be off in the near future. No shims this time. Did a quick set up and intonation. I sat in the chair and played it for a bit...nice! Very much like my blonde bass. The strap locks will be next...that will be a good test for me anyways(how it hangs).
I measured out the area for the controls...I only get one chance to place them where I want them.

Drilled holes for the controls and did a little soldering last night. I’m sure I’ve mentioned elsewhere...my soldering skills have turned to suck.
I did a little more this more soldering this morning...wow!...at least my eyes worked better today!

I’m still unsure about my stereo/mono switch, I just might hook it up as a test and drill the hole later if I want it.

First impressions, it roars! Those custom Tom Brantley tapped PU’s are powerful!
And the PU locations are very distinctive. FULL bassey gobness! And treble crunch snd punch for days. With both PU’s on in stereo a very separated sound field.
I still got minor problems, I have to expand the output jack route a bit...the stereo output jack is just crammed in there. Wire and connections are shorting.
And...I did put in the stereo/mono switch. Very useful so far.
Pics will come eventually...

and bridge, I have a blank one and look at engraving. It just on there for now.
And it’s done! Still adjusting the set-up though. Maybe a video in a few days...maybe.

I do have to mention, the SolarEZ polished to a glass like shine.
The Walnut has the look of simply being wet, no coloration.
The thin film I applied did not make it look like a bartop.
