TBOT - Negativity Central

I'm sure a whole lot of people would disagree with you, which is why he was the legend.

Ted Nugent has his worshippers, as well. Millions of people treat every sound that emerges from his face as if it was the pinnacle of human wisdom.

You'll have to excuse some of us if we choose to not invest as much passion in your hero as you do.

He was a helluva lot nicer than some of you guys.

So you start a thread for the purpose of trying to convince people to agree with your opinion (nothing wrong with that) and when TB'ers post contrary opinions you judge the character of those posters as not nice?

I also doubt he would open a subject he had no interest in, just to complain.

But I do have an interest in this subject. That's why I posted a comment. And if you really believe that simply posting an opinion that you don't like is complaining, then I respectfully suggest you learn to be less sensitive. I believe Lemmy would agree with that advice.

Torpedoing other people's lifestyle choices is naff.
Especially if their lifestyle never harmed you.

Ahem . . .

I happen to like Motorhead and I respect Lemmy as a musician. That's because I'm a metal head from the beginning and I've lived that lifestyle and enjoyed it. --- hbar

I think you are perceiving offense where none exists.

You should be proud of yourselves!
So someone explains why they don't admire your hero and you change the thread title and original post and sarcastically tell us all we should be proud of ourselves? Why not stand by your convictions and counter @hbarcat's points? Why not engage in a dialogue when people disagree with you? I don't know. Maybe I'm just a troll for expecting people to defend their positions.

Thanks to a couple of real champs for reducing the legacy of a great man down to nothing but snarky comments about his substance habits.

You should be so proud of yourselves for helping make TBOT what it is!

I for one didn't reduce his legacy, I accurately added a comment which filled in a large facet of his legacy that was missing from the original list (which has since been deleted). And I don't think it was snarky, I think it was accurate, factual, and fair.

Great man? I don't know, that's a personal opinion that I don't hold. He had moderate success as a musician but I wouldn't call him great. Obviously you would disagree, and that's okay! :)

I had originally liked this post (in February) then I see, first thing as I open TB, that the post has been edited weeks later. How do I know what I liked?

How dare you change a post that has already received likes. It's deceitful.

Dammit Super, I like you, I try to stay on your side, but you sure don't make it easy.

Post UN liked.

Seen this play out from both sides. I lived the life till 1992. My son was born and I had to make a change. I walked away. Of four of my former band mates, two have departed this world as a result of the lifestyle and one other has achieved great success as a Christian rock artist..... I am not one to judge.... But I know which of my former mates has found happiness on the other side of the rock "lifestyle".

Completely deceitful. Posts that have received likes shouldn't be editable.

I wish some folks could just live and let live, let others post however they want, etc, without someone immediately (or weeks later) jumping in and on the dude.

Yes, he opens himself up for jabs but as soon as his sensitivity to them showed, more jabs come from every direction, even moderators. In a way, I can't blame him for being sensitive.

People here are jerks a lot of the time.

If you guys don't like how the edit function works, take it up with Admin.

I'm getting thin sticking up for your BS when you edit posts weeks later dude. Own that S. Have more pride in yourself and leave what you post and stand by it.

You leave me no choice but to no longer like your posts because you could change it to say something completely opposite of what I "liked". After that, I'll simply stop responding to your posts, then stop reading them.

Then you'll come back on and start a thread, all whiney, about how no one likes you or responds to your BS anymore.

I've said it a zillion times, I like you, but you make it hard man.

Except a moderator didn't restart the thread. Super_Freak did, then deleted his post. Pacman's post was a direct response to SF's post.

Maybe check to see if you have the whole story before pointing fingers.
