Interesting, I still haven't seen any updates. I've even deleted and re-installed the app.

Launch the app and leave it running a while. They weren't there when I first opened it. I went through and looked at a few tone prints and when I went back the new multi tone prints were there.

I'm really sold on buying one, but I've been going back and forth on the first BG250 and the BG250-112.
I know what I like already in each of the two.
Now, all I need is to find someone that's selling any of the two in the NYC area.

After a post that was quickly deleted (I still don't know why) I went to Amazon and they have the 210 for $290!
Needless to say I got one of the three that they had in stock.
I'm going to get it late next week. Can't wait!!!

I dig my 208 so much that I just bought one more TC, an used 115.
It's great in case I need more low end and power without ext speaker.
Great amps for great price.

Thanks for posting that. I was gonna pull the trigger on it..but there seems to be a lot of complaints about the mids being strange...too many, not sure exactly. The combo market is competitive...and I just didn't need something RIGHT away, especially considering I just bought a TC BH 250 head...

Having tried combos and separates for the last 33 years I can happily say that you will never beat the sound of a mixed set up, especially as you can mix speaker sizes.
But this wee combo really does all you need for most smaller venues, especially if you go through a PA. And it certainly helps the back and aging limbs.

I've had a MK1 BG250-115 for almost 9 months now. I use double bass in a Rockabilly band and it handles that perfectly, even the slap on the neck if I use a BOSS Graphic equalizer as well. The overall sound isn't as good as an old Peavey MK3 and 15 cab, but the weight and graphic certainly make up for that and it's near as dammit the same.
I also play other basses through it, 75 Jazz, Fretless Jazz, P-bass and a Ricky 4003 and they all sing once they are set up. I use a Zoom B1 as it's my first effects pedal and the preset SVT and Bassman Plus serve my sounds brilliantly.
As others have said, it really needs some form of effects as I can't quite dial the sound in with the 3 band EQ, although I am trying some of the settings suggested.
It handles gigs with or without going through a PA, although struggles a bit with volume on some lager venues.
Certainly pleased with it as TC stuff is very good.

It's good to see deals on the 208 and now the 210. Overall, I wasn't so impressed with the 208 (at least, not at $499), but the 210 is a great alternative to the 115 if you're looking for a slightly different inherent sound...but again, not at the $150 price difference they started out with. Very good news.

I found a perfect trolley for my 208 combo.
IMO it looks like it was assembled at the TC factory.
It even has a tilt leg underneath.

There isn't a "proper" input, but you can bypass the preamp through the line-in. You might try that and also try it through the BG's preamp, maybe cut the bass a little. Nothing wrong with two preamps. You never know, it could be magical.

I was thinking that I could just send the output from the preamp to the input of the poweramp, where i normally plug my bass into. But im unsure, hence the question.

I think he means the mini plug where an iPod cable would go.

By line-in, I meant the 1/8" stereo jack. That bypasses the BG250's preamp (i.e., it isn't affected by the Gain and EQ controls). It is, however, an 1/8" jack...not robust or ideal.

Yes. You should be able to plug the preamp into the 1/4" jack.

You can plug it directly in the preamp input where you usually plug your bass.
The bg250 preamp isn't strongly voiced when everything set flat. So you'll keep the alembic preamp flavor + you can use the bg250 eq for finest settings.
It works well with my external preamps.

This^ as long as you remember to turn down the gain everything is great

I love the 208 on wheels. If I had the cash.. I'd love to get 2 of those babies.. stack them vertically..... but wire one amp to both cabs. ( the speaker cable is external and could be used ) You'd have your own backup amp if the first died.
