I have disconnected the tweeter completely (bg250-115) and as far as I remember there was not any audiable difference.
Just disconnected it. As you will find out its not that great quality anyway, so probably that will be a good thing to do. I still have a high frequency hum when all treble knobs are cranked but this is not my playing style anyway and apart from this I think all amplifiers with these settings will make an audiable noise up to some extent. Also I don't think it is noticeable in gig volume.

Right so the noise is a high pitched frequency which occurs from the tweeter only when the bass is plugged in with the treble on the amp and or the treble on the bass is turned up. The cables are new fender cables, no pedal and on 5 different basses. Its definitely the tweeter making the noise. Should i replace it?
