the tube tone from the audio samples on the website isint doing it for me..
the compressor is a nasty idea though
im still REALLY hoping the cabs are what im looking for.. not too expencive, and considering TC electronics reputation..well..

They talk about that on their site or maybe it was a manual. Seems to me the corners are separate pieces of hardwood...
No micro amp has managed to get my full attention until now. I've just spent the best part of an hour watching all the videos and listening to soundclips. This looks a well-thought out piece of gear with all the great usable features I might need. I even thought the Marlowe DK tubetone demo sounded very good.
Not that I need an amp right now. But if I did, I'd definately give this one a try. I will anyway.
It seems to have everything.
And I think I remember how everything works already!

all true. everything seems usable, and user friendly. all the clean sound demos i heard blew me away.. hopefully ill get a chance to see how it compares to a LMII? its probobly very underpowered.. is 450 watts enough for a "little" amp?
Depends on the power supply and how honestly they rated the power.
Even with an honest RMS rating, that doesn't tell the whole story.
How it handles dynamic demands with lots of low frequency content -- that's where the rubber meets the road for bass players.

Bang & Olufsen are taking over the poweramp world right now with their Ice Power rigs, that's why everyone is getting a really good lightweight poweramp out cheaply now. I don't know for sure, but I imagine this rig has an Ice Power module in it, and it's probably a comparable one to what's in the LMII. They're talking about putting them (switching power supply amps) in cell phones (!!!) in the near future - just what we need, really ******* loud cell phones.

Man, they're advertising this thing. Just got the new Bass Player mag in the mail and the front cover is a fake, glue-on front cover that advertises the Rebel 450. So, it looks like the cover story is the TC Rebel 450.

Yep, B&O are doing a nice job with their ICE power modules. Our is, however, TC in-house designed from the grounds up, which allow us to do a couple of nice tweaks and tricks in the power section that does not come with the average commodity Class D amp module.
