Can anyone tell me what this head is worth? It is in really good shape and performs flawlessly, for what it is. I have found the combo version of the commando but haven't seen a separate head in a while. Any help?

I had the combo and liked the eq, etc. Didn't dig the sealed cab though... but everyone else did!

I just picked up a Trace Quatra Valve head , it apparantly hasn't worked in some time. Most obviously all the tubes have been pulled and the output capacitors look bad . So first up i want to replace the caps. Anyone have any experience working on this amp ?

You should get a proper tech to replace the caps and then test it out before blowing up a new set of caps from some other fault.

Went by a local shop I frequent (Crazy Dave's in Orange Park, FL) and saw an AH350 SMX for sale - brought me back to my 410 combo that I loved. It has the black light and is in a TE head 'rack' (with the rubber tolex and feet on the bottom).

Sure wish I had the $ I'd snatch it right up. I'm quite happy with my GK/Henry rig, but I know that would also sound good through the Henry. I guess it's my fondness for TE.....

I need some help, I have a chance to purches a vintage 1518 for a killer price but im tempeted to buy a new one instead. I have recently bought a ah350x with the gp11 mkv preamp and fell like I should stay with the vintage stuff. The problem is i am unable to try any of the new stuff with this head because no where in the state of Colorado is there any new trace stuff. What should i do??

So the speaker is blown, should I still grab the cab "it will cost 139$" and replace the speaker???

I wouldn't splash that for an empty mdf cab. I'd build one instead.

They were blowing them out at guitarcenter for $99 when trace got sold and it's future was uncertain at the time. I hear it's a great head

hi tracers.i have used this beasty for some years now and apart from a violation by a cowboy amp tech she has performed very well. however i have no info on her,ie age model(i have downloaded some stuff from trace but nothing i have is exactly the same.the serial # is S 503 C .its a gp11 ah 150 any ideas lads?

Question for my fellow Tracers. I have the AH350SMX, which I dearly love aside from the weight, and was wondering if I could remove it from the factory cabinet and easily mounted into a rack? The factory cabinet the amp is in is quite heavy on its own. Has anyone done this?
