If these are hand built to custom order one at a time ( USA no less) these may actually be a bargain.
Don't you mean made in America by robots maintained by a very few technicians paid a living wage?
The whole made here or there thing is garbage. Most everything in manufacturing is automated now that the labor part of the equation is a joke...
Nope. Tech21 products are made by hand, and most of the other boutique brands are as well...pretty sure Andrew builds all of the 'private stock' stuff himself too.

So I've been exploring YouTube checking out all the latest namm videos and stuff. Came across a video for the new tech 21 Dug head.
The tech 21 landmark was the same thing. I was interested in it as well until I saw the price.
That explains their pricing structure...
Not dissing anyone making a living building stuff, we need that. Boy do we need that, but we also need efficient production. I am sure they might not have too many robots, but I would be they have plenty of jigs, and assembly line procedures, unless they are doing one off customs...
Guys don't get me wrong. I love my tech 21 gear and have used different sans amps for a decade now. I'm a fan of the brand. Just a little bummed at the price of this head. I don't mean it as an insult to tech 21. But if your a tech 21 fan you have to somewhat agree. I mean my main rig is a tech 21 sans amp RBI (maybe $300) i to a crown XLS 1500 (less then $400) so I'm already using a sans amp and a class d power amp and it cost me less than half the price of the dug head.
I honestly think they wont sell well at that price point. They will realise this and it will drop.

However, you can grab the Tech 21 pedals and run them into soooo many power amps getting an incredibly similar, if not identical, result.
