TEXAS BASSISTS UNITE...

Currently in Huntsville (and not a trustee, btw! ;)) doing tax accounting.

During college I lived in Belton/Temple and played in Georgetown, Round Rock, Austin and Lubbock with Landon Smith, Chase Tutor, Kyle "Joe" Ortiz and our bands Fade and Chasing Phoenix.

I've been in HuntsVegas for 2 years, and still did Chasing Phoenix in Austin until this past December when I quit. Started playing with a country cover band in Houston this summer and just quit about 2 weeks ago.

Started playing w/ Landon again in Austin and Georgetown about a month ago.

Looking for a more solid gig though as he's moving back to Lubbock in January, and I refuse to go up there anymore, as I used to make the 11+ hour round trip every other weekend for almost a year to play up there my junior year of college. :)

I rock Modulus Quantums and Mesa amps and cabs exclusively, but you may have caught me with a Dingwall and Eden and Accugroove gear earlier this year... ;)

We recorded an album with Chasing Phoenix, recorded and produced by Jeff Sterns in Austin last December, and still waiting for it to come out.

So, yeah. I'm in the Woodlands probably 3-4 nights a week, so if anyone needs a gigging player in the north Houston area, holla!

I'll pitch in for a cabrito or two!:D

PS: Enjoyed your performance on Channel 7 yesterday. I did that show on October 9, and the video is still in their archives.

I went and watched your video...y'all were awesome!!! I *love* that *song*!!! I'd not heard her sing before...love that voice! You looked great, back there on that upright, and sounded great, too!

Does anyone know where the geographical center of Texas is? We may have to all meet up there. We're such a far-flung bunch...strung out like a herd of longhorn on their way to Kansas.

Cherie ;)

Commanche is pretty much in the center of Texas. Or, if me wanted to go a little east there's Meridian- I mean, with a name like "Meridian", how can we go wrong?

Cheers,
TC

Dallas based: playing nearly every Friday evening and Sunday morning at my Church. Played a lot of Southern Rock and Country back in the late 70's through the 80's. Was out of playing until about 3 years ago: like riding a bike though... Playing 4 banger Fenders, fretted/fretless P's and J's...see profile for details.

Thanks! I absolutely LOVE my Ergo, even though that particular song isn't the best for showcasing it.

Shelli's the best female vocalist I've ever worked with. And she writes a pretty good song, too. Must be in her genes...
