I agree. Ive gone through two ampeg 8x10 in the past three weeks. The bottom right speaker fuzzed on both. What is the deal? Ive just about had it with the ampeg!!!

I have been wading through the posts on this page to find an Ashdown ABM 810
I got to play through one a coupe of months ago with the matching 575 Watt head... Best sound ever (to me anyway)

It sounds phenominal! Got it for a steal too, 8x10s aren't huge in my city and it sat in the store for aaaaages before I picked it up.
It's an 1100 watt cab so I use a 1500 watt poweramp for plenty of headroom.
The Momster does very nicely, at the moment I've got my Big Muff Pi, Momster and a Boss HM-2 for my various dirty tones on my board at the moment!
If both 8x10 cabs are 4 ohms, then yes, the impedance running both at once would be 2 ohms, so you'd switch the SVT to that setting.
I finally got my SVT repaired, which ran $324, new caps, tubes biased, pots cleaned.
Total price for the SVT $524.
Plugged Ric-o-Sound into the two channels and my God did it sound nice. I really wanted to crank it for some nice overdrive but my ears/the small room couldn't handle the volume. I got both volumes to about 11 o'clock before it sounded like the cab was going to explode.
Count me in! Ashdown 8x10 powered by an Eden WT400. This box has aided my enlightenment of the local sound ordninances and the friendly fellows that enforce them.
Well I have done some looking around and was not able to find myself an 810 fan club.
I see there are alot of other clubs out there devoted to big cabs but not just to 810's
I love 810's!! there is just something about have a wall of sound hitting you in the back that you just cant seam to get from anything else!!
So in this ever changing world of small micro lightweight cabs and heads i thought it would be great to see all of you that still use the "Fridge"!!
This is a club for 810's only!!! No 410/410 setup's....unless you have some how glued,nailed and or strapped them together so as they can never be parted... Then that we want to see!!!...if you have a cab that has more then 810's...then by all means i want to see that too...esp if it is a DIY!!!
Last But not least.....NO 12's...15's or 18's!! they maybe great cabs and all and i am sure the sound awesome...BUT....this is about 10's and Lot's10's only!!!
I want this to be a fun thread where we can all show off our 810's and not get in to any debates of whos got what better then anyone else!! Have fun all looking forward to Seeing all you Fridges!!! Cheers All!!~Elliot
