I had it effects send > board. I wonder if it should have gone through a DI as you have it listed.........
I only use a speaker cable from the amp to the speaker. Instrument cables for everything else. Seems to work for me.
I've only used my EFX Out to record a couple of times as I don't got to a FOH or mixer for my sound at all. Typically I play mainly open air BBQs and barnyard get togethers.
During those few times, I went through instrument cables since I feel it's just a signal level voltage anyway, not hundreds of Watts.
Your noise puzzles me - perhaps try the DI before you send the signal to the preamp by putting it between the guitar and the Input.
One thing of which I am constantly aware for what I consider a good reason, is to go into the Active side of the head if I have any pedals or effects in line. I feel they are a pre-amp type device and it's usually better to not hit the front end with a heavy signal.
I have heard others say they like and use it the other way - but that's just me being anal a little bit.
Another point or so to consider -

I've also gotten a buzz and humming when I've used different electrical plugs that are on different circuits. When I've switched to the same circuit the noise has gone away.

Picked up the Fender Kingman acoustic bass today!!! So decided to get an amp to go with it. Could not afford the B100 or B200 at this time, will have to be a later purchase. I tried out the B10 and B20 at GC. At 1/4 to 1/2 volume it seemed loud and had decent bass, sure though as you stated not like the B100. This will be a nice little portable amp. Maybe in another few months I will pick up the B100. Got a really good deal on both togeather. I don't plan on playing any clubs with this amp, just setting around with another acoustic guitarist or two.

I played today using my effects send as a lineout from my b100 today at this church outside of town. It must be atleast 2x the size of my own church where I play every week. Worked really good. I really like the tone I am able to get from my amp. Easily remove the boominess with the notch filter. Got clean and dirty tonight.

I have done both of those suggestions at different times. The buzz seems independent of bass, cable, power source, DI or anything else I could think of. It really isn't a big deal since I now use my DI pre-amp pedal to go direct to the board and then feed the amp with the other output from the pedal. Thanks for the suggestion anyway.....
Just picked up a 470 today to go along with my Acoustic 2X15 (Don't know the model of the cab though)
I'm pretty happy with it. Need to replace the speaker output jack soon. I think that's what's making it so crackly on the big resonant notes. But the tone of this thing is killer. Not much for a clean amp, but I like it that way.

Oh yeah, I would love to hear your 215, I want to get that setup to eventually. I mean the 810 is plenty but it never hurts to have options.
One day, I will have a 6X12. I think that's where it's at for me.
